Read moreWe had a short drive from Odawara. As soon as we arrived in the parking lot, we had a staff member greet us with warm smiles and carried our luggage. It’s a traditional and intimate ryokan and we loved how homey it felt. We also had a lady staff give us a tour of the place and she is so cute and helpful.
The rooms were so much larger than the rooms we were used to in the larger cities. The bedding is comfortable.
We had a variety of traditional dishes for dinner which we loved so much. It was delicious and different to anything we’ve tried.
There are 2 smaller indoor baths and I felt the temperature was comfortable. The outdoor onsen is hotter but might be better during cooler conditions. Even though the bathing area is intimate, there weren’t too many people bathing at the same time so I thought there was plenty of room.
My family enjoyed this experience so much. Thank you for such a...
Read moreGreat stay Everyone is very nice and welcoming, comftable enough with speaking english and explaining everything. The room was spacious and pretty well maintained. No private shower, but you bath in the onsen, or use the shared bathroom in the onsen's changing room.
The onsen was the nicest part of the stay. The women's indoor onsen is pretty small, but between 8-9 pm the outdoor mixed ( You need to wear a towel ) onsen is for women only, and it's a great experience.
The food was also a great and interesting experiance. Many small and large plates are presented to you in your room, dinner and breakfast. the meals change every day so you get to try many local dishes! Some we liked and some we didn't, but we loved the feast nonetheless! Overall a...
