Literal mom and pop shop serving some wonderful treats. They serve food that's not dessert, but we were not here for that. On a cold rainy day, we found this little gem manned by an elderly gentlemen. He provided us with menus and drinks. We ordered a Sunday (a single scoop each of Matcha and Vanilla ice cream. Paired with it was a small assortment of fruit (Kiwi, Apricot, Cherry, Mochi Balls and a Biscoff Ginger Cookie. We also ordered a bowl of Yakimochi (Red Beans and Grilled Mochi) as well as a bow of Shitatama Cream Anmitsu (Ice cream with array of fruits and jelly) There was a piano at the entrance and wondered to myself if anyone at the restaurant played. Everything was very good and would be happy to return.

The oshiruko with yakimochi set for ¥850 was a bit on the expensive side, but this is a touristic town anyway. They also serve a matcha with Japanese sweet set for about ¥800, and other sweets. They are ok, but not really outstanding.

(cash only) Love this quaint cafe. The cappuccino was good and shaved ice was especially big and delicious. I think coming here on a hot day to get out of the sun and enjoy some cool drinks or shaved ice is a no brainer.
