Pub Ochiai — Restaurant in Hakone

We had a lovely evening at this Pub. The owners were very kind and friendly. They don't speak much English but we ended up having some good conversation with the aid of the google translate speakerphone app. The inside is very cosy and seats are comfy. It was just me and my husband all night so we basically gave them a private show on the karaoke and they were kind enough to seem like they were enjoying it! One of the best experiences of our whole 18 day holiday in Japan. The beautiful couple who run this quaint pub are the kindest and most welcoming pair imaginable! We were lucky that there was a lovely English-speaking couple in the bar at the same time as us who translated our conversations, but the hosts were also very open to communicating through Google translate. We stumbled across this pub when we realised most restaurants in Hakone shut quite early and this was the only place open. We are so glad we found this, because it was one of the most memorable experiences from our trip to Japan. The pub is run by the sweetest couple whom we had some lovely conversations with.
