Beautiful garden, peace and serene accomodation. There are 5 of us and they allowed us to add a futon for ¥5150 instead of booking 2 rooms. We stayed in room 204 with a nice garden view! The reception staffs are very helpful and can speak English. We left our belonging at the hotel. They contacted me and help us post it to our next hotel. Excellent customer service. We paid ¥900 per person for breakfast. You can book your breakfast when you check in. 2 types of breakfast to choose from, Either western or Japanese. We go for Japanese breakfast and it was delicious. There are 2 private onsens. You can book the onsen for session starting 4pm-9:50pm. Each time slot is 40 minutes. The left onsen is much nicer and bigger. The right onsen is very small and can only fit in 2 adults. However, you are free to use the onsen in the morning before 1030am, no booking required, it’s first come first serve basis. If you are coming by car, there are parking beside the accommodation.

Absolutely loved my stay here. I was here for 1 N 2 D and loved my time here. It is a beautiful guest house with the best gardens I have ever seen. The place have tatami floors, have a bit of a hike up the hill. They also provide complimentary shuttle in morning at 9,10, 11 am to gora statiom and Hakone open air museum. You can also spot Mt Fuji from one of the rooms. We couldnt see due to visibility issues. I just hated that there is one toilet for men and one for women. Morning times it got very crowded and had to wait for a long time since people are brushing also in the same area. There are no toilets on second floor so that was a bit of a disappointment for me. The staff is rly helpful and happily helps. I tried the dinner here and was mind blown. They have a common eating space with a microwave which is pretty good. Overall a great experience

Really a very nice place to stay. Extremely clean, with all the amenities one could need. The lounge area feels cozy and inviting, the view of the garden is stunning, and the onsen is small but quite relaxing. I stayed here for one night with 3 friends, but because of work we checked in late (~20.30h). Still, the staff was very polite and friendly, and even allowed us to use the bath for a little while after closing (because we had to go get some dinner first). There are two restaurants within a 10 minute walk (a pizza bar and a Chinese restaurant). I definitely recommend the Chinese restaurant next to the 7/11, the food was very authentic and delicious. All in all, a very pleasurable experience. If you’re in Hakone on a budget, please check out this place, it offers excellent value for money.

I stayed here one night with my sister. We arrived extremely early in the morning as we only had one night and day to see all of Hakone. The owner was extremely helpful throughout the process. We took a train from Tokyo to Odawara and then a 40 minute local bus to Asante Inn. For future travelers, take the bus stop from bus area #4. Please make sure your Suica/Pasamo cards have enough fare to get you to Asante/Hakone. I believe the trip was around 1,000 yen. The bus does not give out change; if you do not have a IC card, please bring exact change. The bus ride was smooth. From the bus stop its a 6 minute walk to Asante. We left our luggage at the hotel as it was too early to check-in and made our way to sight-see. Asante's location is perfect as you can walk from the hotel to the Hakone Open Air Museum and Gora; or take the bus to Ashi Lake. Our train was for 6am the next morning since we were in Japan during New Years and all other trains were sold out. There are no buses or trains to take us back to Odawara. The owner was kind enough to arrange a taxi for us at 5am. He definitely went above and beyond to make sure we had the opportunity to make our train. The onsen at the hostel is great, the facilities are clean, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend staying at Asante Inn if you...

☀️ When i first arrived, i thought i was at the wrong place - i‘ve never booked something so nice for myself before! 🪲PROS- chill 4 people bedrooms, with a comfy bed and a big personal shelf + locker and a fridge for the room- clean facilities and rooms- towel, toothpaste/toothpaste and yukata were provided as well as shampoo and showergel- the common room was so cozy and nice, with tea and water always at the ready and a great view of the garden- i was satisfied with both the dinner and breakfast and the price was fairly cheap (~1200¥ or a bit more, depending on your choices)- PRIVATE ONSEN that you can book for around 50minutes at night and can use in the morning if nobody else is already using it (costs around 150¥ per use)- there is a shuttle bus going at pretty regular times in the morning. They offer a ride to both Gora-Station or Hakone-Open-Air-Museum! 🩸CONS- far from the city-centre/train station 🌱 i really enjoyed my stay. I had cool roomies that became travel companions and absolutely loved the inn, the onsen, the food and the kind staff!Definitely a recommendation if you ever decide to stay in Hakone - i...

We booked a room for two and didn’t expect much due to the low price and modest photos on Booking.com — but we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel turned out to be much better in person than in the pictures. They should definitely update their photos to reflect the actual quality.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Every time we needed assistance, they were quick to respond and genuinely eager to help. The food is reasonably priced, and we tried both the Western and Japanese breakfasts — both were very good.

The private onsen was a highlight of our stay. We loved it and used it every day! The additional cost is very fair and absolutely worth it. The Japanese garden on the property is peaceful and adds a relaxing touch to the whole experience.

There’s also a fantastic point-to-point hiking trail nearby — we recommend the Miojingatake trail. If you’re in good shape, you can even include the Kintoki Shrine. After the hike, you can easily return by bus.

Overall, we highly recommend this...
