I already knew what a Capsule Hotel was so I knew what to expect. |Actually this experience was much better than the one I had in one in Europe! ||I spent one night in this hotel. ||My travel buddies and I (5 people in total) were staying in Kyoto for several days but decided to visit Hiroshima. This was difficult to do in only one day so we had to find accommodation for a night in Hiroshima.|We left our baggage in the Airbnb in Kyoto and travelled very light. We didn't want to spend too much since we were already paying for accommodation elsewhere and we agreed to opt for a Capsule Hotel for a night.||Well I was very impressed and so where my friends.||Yes, it's relatively noisy, even though I must say that the air con noise would work as grey noise which helped to sleep lol |Wr didn't have breakfast included so I can't comment on that. |However I was impressed on everything we could use: towels, slippers, night robe, toiletries, lockers, hot and cold waters, tea and coffee making facilities. |So convenient!||I have to add that the location is great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. |I would go...
Read moreFirst Capsule experience in Japan. I got suprised at how cosy and clean it was. Customer service was very good. The washing machines are on the 1st floor and accessible from street level. I was abit scared but they got cameras everywhere. After launching a wash i came back and I could not find my clothes anymore. I freaked out. Went to the counter and asked for help. The lady could not believe it and rushed downstairs opening all machines and dryers while telling me to no worry we'll use the cameras if needed. In the end, someone just nicely put my clothing in a dryer that I didn't think of checking. All of this to say, that they're very dedicated to make it a great experience. It's not a lower service that any other hotel. It was one of the cleanest and nicest place I went to in Japan. Great surprise! It is well located, withing walking distance to the Peace Memorial Park and all services are available : washing machine, vending machine, dryer, shower (very clean!), microwave, themed common rooms even a spot for getting your make up done with a big bright mirror. I recommend...
Read moreThis was our first capsule hotel experience and it was an extremely good one. The place was very clean, well organized, and comfortable. It's in a great location (check out the new vegan-leather shoe shop down the street) with lots of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was very good (buffet style with Japanese and more 'western' items available), and you're free to fill up on calories before heading out for the day. The capsule rooms were quiet and comfortable (I'm a bit bony so the firm mattress is the only thing that stops this getting a five star rating, but maybe that's as much my problem as the venue's) and my other half slept like a log in the next capsule. Showers and bathroom facilities were very good indeed - be aware that these are mixed dorms, so the bathrooms are also mixed in case that's an issue for you. We'd advise reading a bit about capsule hotels before booking as some non-Japanese guests looked bemused. Would definitely recommend...
