PLAZA IN KANKU HOTEL — Hotel in Izumisano

The best thing about the Kanku In Hotel is the location, its a few minutes from Rinku Town station and the whole amusement area, easy access to the hotel and there is a 7-11 conbini next door. The second best thing is the price, it is a very reasonable cost.

I was staying during a typhoon so this may not be accurate on all days but I used the reception four times and on two of those occasions so staff were present even when the bell was rang, one of these led to a wait of over 10 minutes.

The room itself is fine, a very normal hotel room with a clean and comfortable bed. I was disappointed by the bathroom as it was so small that with the door shut if on the toilet my knees hit the door and the toilet roll holder pushed against my leg. The shower was set in a very small bathtub with a combined tap with the sink, it was difficult to regulate the temperature and pressure when using it and the whole bathroom felt small and claustrophobic when using it. There was a mini fridge in the room but since the power is off unless a key is present this does not work when going out and will be warm when you arrive, its only use is for an early morning/middle of the night item. There is no ice/water/laundry/vending machine or any other facilities in the hotel as far as I could gather, but the is a conbini 30 seconds from the door which helps.

The room is spacious and the place is quiet. Beside the hotel there is 7eleven nearby. The nearest it is around 900m away. The hotel is located in a residential area. Everything here is self service. It include hotel check in. If you like quiet place to rest, this a hotel is a great choice. If you like to go for shopping or sightseeing I would recommend you to stay near the city centre. Is not much happening in this town. Facilities wise, this hotel is lacking of washing machine...

We didn’t expect too much from the hotel as we were only there to shower and sleep for a few hours before our early morning flight at Kansai airport.To our surprises the self-check in was so convenient as we arrived very late. The room and bathroom was extremely clean! A large convenience store downstairs plus a ramen place that opens till midnight, which was amazing.We truly enjoyed our short stay and would definitely come back if we are flying at Kansai airport again...
