Great Room Size but Disturbed by Wind NoiseI stayed at a hotel in Rinku before my flight from Kansai International Airport (KIX) and was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a twin room. This room was significantly larger than the one I had booked, and in fact, it was the most spacious room I encountered during my entire stay in Japan. The room was clean, and I appreciated the extra space. However, my experience was overshadowed by the intense wind noise throughout the night. The sound was so loud that I initially thought someone was rolling their suitcase in the hallway during the midnight hours. It turned out to be just the wind, but it was loud enough to keep me awake. I even asked the receptionist to check the noise, as I was uneasy and initially thought it might be something supernatural. The staff was kind and helpful in addressing my concerns. While the location is convenient for an early flight, it’s not particularly close to the station, which might be a consideration for travelers relying on public transport. Overall, the hotel is decent, with excellent room size and helpful staff, but the wind noise detracted...
Read moreThis feels like a monk's cell rather than a hotel room. I understand that this is a single room, but they could at least put two pillows on the bed - in fact, there is only one. The bathroom floor is 30 cm higher than the room floor, wuth an additional threshold inside, and the door is narrow, so one has to perform complex acrobatics to get in. The bathroom itself is tiny, like on an airplane, and the bath is so small it looks like a pocket. There is no armchair, just an office chair next to the desk. This means that you cannot put up your feet after a day of hard sightseeing, and you cannot sit propped in the bed because there is only one (small) pillow. You can either sit at the desk or lie down in bed.|The only positive thing I can say is the abundance of power outlets, including one USB, near the bed.|Posting some photos, a shoe added to show the scale. The bathroom threshold is over a foot high, and the bath is approximately two shoes wide and...
Read moreWe stayed three in the room. The room was quiet ,clean and large enough for the three of us. The hotel is only 10 minutes away from Kansai airport there is not a hotel shuttle to and from the airport. The room included breakfast and came with hair dryer, fridge, free wifi, TV with local channels and a pot to make hot water. The bathroom had updated fixtures but was not good for seniors with bad knees or people with a disability as one needed to do a high step up to get into the bathroom. It is near shopping outlets and places to eat. The bed and pillow was hard. The rental information stated that one could rent other pillows. There was not much that was offered for free but you could rent an alarm clock, a nail clipper can and/or bottle opener, charger, converter plugs, umbrella, icepack, babybed, blanket, sewing kit, scale, sissors a bycycle and more. The bycycle could be had for one hour for free. There was no safe...
