Washington Hotel Kansai Airport — Hotel in Izumisano

Located across the bridge from Kansai Airport Terminal and accesdible with a short shuttle bus ride. Within walking distance to the Rinku Town Ferris wheel (かんらんしゃ).

We stayed there during our government required 6-day coronavirus quarantine upon entering Japan. For us, unlike others who quarantined at dorms or at other business hotels, our stay in an assigned family-sized room (two twin beds and a single bed) was pleasant and enjoyable with the usual amenities of a Japanese hotel. Amenities were supplied for the entire stay as there was no room service. Wi-Fi was a bit slow but still manageable for FaceTime video calls. No ports were available for a wired ethernet connection.

The room temperature was adequate without having to raise the thermostat and a free-standing humidifier provided moisture as the atmosphere was much dryer than Hawaii, where we came from. We opened our window (slightly) to allow fresh air to enter.

Quarantine staff provided 3 meals per day that were nutritious and more than adequate. Fruits and vegetables were fresh and served in abundance. We selected standard and vegan options to share. Amazingly, the rice was served hot!

There’s a Family Mart convenience store on the second floor from which we had 4 suitcases delivered to our apartment after the six-day stay. The staff wa friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately we were unable to experience the full services available at the hotel as we were not allowed to leave the room during the entire stay. Our friends, who came to get us when we were released from quarantine, were able to access the hotel from the airport interchange without difficulty.

Would highly recommend if a short stay is necessary due to flight cancellation or other inconveniences. The hotel location may also be useful as a base for exploring South Osaka and...

Really great hotel that is super close to the airport. Got a cheap deal on the twin room via Booking dot com's Genius program ($107AUD for one night). There's lots of free shuttle buses to and from the airport, however there queue for these was VERY long in the morning (a little after 8am) so I recommend simply taking the train (it only cost ¥370, 5 minutes train, 4 minutes walking).

The rooms are very clean, well maintained sheets, nice furniture, a small fridge, extra pillows in the closet, free toothbrushes and other amenities (more of these are available in the lobby near the check in desk, free of charge).

The Family Mart convenience store is open 24/7 and is accessible from outside and inside the hotel (2nd floor). Was really nice to grab drinks and a cheap hot meal after our long flight.

Beds are super comfy, blankets nice and warm, towels are fresh and embroidered with the WHG logo. A control panel for the room light, entryway light and small bedside lights is very conveniently located between the two beds. Additionally in this panel, there's a pair of 2 prong power outlets and also a pair of USB outlets in the wall above the side table (which is useful if you did not bring an adapter for your phone charger).

The hotel allows you to leave your bags in the lobby before and after checkout for no additional fee. You are given a numbered token in and you must bring this back in order to collect your bags.

I really like that the room key passes are printed in paper format upon arrival. It feels nice that they are made of recyclable material instead of the usual plastic credit card style room keys.

Getting there from Kansai Airport:

“FREE” bus Shuttle: Too and from airport(15 min). Large passenger Bus. Kansai Airport Terminal # 1 Bus Stop # S12 Walk to the left as you exit Level # 1. Walks pass the descending bus numbers (10,9,8,7,6,……1. ) until you reach “S12”

By TRAIN . One stop (5 min ) Exit at : Rinku Station Walk to Exit Door # 5( see photo) Walk straight passing Lawson Store and before Family Mart. Take escalator downstairs to lobby/reception.

Hotel is large/convention/wedding reception. Very Quiet . No cigarette smell. No onsen

Room 1543: clean, spacious, strong WiFi, double twin bed, medium firm bed and pillows, soft sheets, toiletries provided, hairdryer , hot strong pressure water , small Japanese tub, super soft pajamas, hot water kettle , tea , cups, mini fridge, luggage rack, 5 hangers, extreme Black out shades, multi plugs ins , vanity mirror with lights. A/C is both hot and cold air. NO free bottle water

Location: Family Mart level 2 in the hotel Rinku station level 2 in the hotel 7 min walk to Factory outlets, Onsen , Food Court, international restaurants . Walk to Rinku Station and exit Door #1 .

This is the best hotel in the area.
