This was a new shock to me and a low point for a restaurant. I ordered a pancake, burger, and açaí bowl to share.
The açaí bowl came with a small disposable wooden spoon. Since we were sharing, I asked for a second spoon. They told me they needed to charge me money for a second spoon! A spoon! Money. For a spoon. You’re a sit-down restaurant! But metal spoons or be prepared to give your customers the stupid, cheap little wooden spoons. Goodness. I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous. Charging sit-down customers for a spoon. I’m still in shock. They already served us plastic children’s forks because they ran out of metal forks. The manager really needs to buy some cutlery. For the restaurant. Why does a restaurant not have forks and spoons? I can’t believe it.
The meal was small and too expensive. The burger was dry and under seasoned. The pancake was small for its price. The açaí bowl tasted like tea and ice and tasted nothing like berries. There was nothing good about this meal.
The food was fine. There are better burger restaurants in this same shopping mall. But charging me for a spoon. I would be surprised that their Hawaii headquarters knows about and is...
Read moreKua Aina Sandwich Shop was exactly what I was looking for and more! I got their bacon burger and it was delicious. It was a pretty cheap burger for the quality you get. The bun was fresh, the patty was thick and juicy, the bacon was nice and savory and the veggies were fresh. Add all that together and you’ve got yourself a perfect hamburger. We also ordered the Hawaiian pancake and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The pancakes were light and fluffy with a little bit of crispy goodness and the coconut syrup was finger licking good. The side of whipped cream and ice cream really completed the flavor! Besides the food, the service and atmosphere were amazing! It was like you were transported to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. If your looking for a goood sandwich, a classic American burger and a piece of paradise, you’ve got to...
Read moreFirst of all, the cashiers didn’t know how to accept cash and card together, which not should be a problem to a restaurant. And then the restaurant was partly full of smoke from the grill, almost impossible to breath normally. Had to change table once. It took forever to get the order and it wasn’t made like we ordered. Went to return it and ask it with a correct ordered bread - they basically just put the ingredients from the first sandwhich inside the another bun. It looked like a 5 year old has made the sandwhich. And by the way, BLT doesn’t include onion. The word BLT comes from ingredients Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato. I understand that you were busy, but that cannot be an excuse to not respect the...
