I stayed here for two nights. It’s a good location close to the Shinkansen station, which is only a few minutes walk, lots of restaurants near by. The hotel restaurants are also excellent. I had shubu shabu with their own made soup and handmade ramen. The breakfast was great. There is a rooftop Yakiniku beer bar with the option to drink all you like with dinner for about 4000y. There is a 711 right next door which is very handy. The Bus sation is also close by and you can buy an all day city bus ticket for 500y. I’d stay here again.

We made a mistake with our booking here, and we ended up paying more than the price online. Very old rooms (though spacious) and quite uncomfortable to sleep in. The toilet seats were ice cold to sit on and the bathtub was nasty. In terms of the hotel itself, it wasn’t a very good experience, especially for a first visit in Kagoshima. ☹️ However, we totally enjoyed the free breakfast. Their Keihan was very tasty, indeed! So I’m still giving them three stars. 🐓

The hotel is maybe a 10-minute walk from the city main train station. Reception staff warm and friendly. Wi-fi worked good in our room. Complimentary razor, toothbrush & toothpaste a plus.||A few negatives as follows:||Breakfast can be improved by providing fruit as shown in advertisement photo. Reception staff speak little English. Double rooms face street traffic that bring loud noise. Roof-top lounge/bar late-night party folks hang out on the 6th floor near elevator and quest rooms creating a...
