The osen hotel is situated in a tranquility location, a short walk from the train station and the osen town, away from the crowd. There is a car service (pick up/ drop off) service available if you contact them before hand, and since my arrival was not scheduled, I walked from the station, which was only a 5-8 minute walk.||||Upon initial research, I picked this osen hotel as they have both the "gold" spring and "silver" spring, both of which is what makes Arima famous as an osen town. Usually at other hotel, you can only enjoy one type, but this hotel, due to its geographical location, has both. ||||There are two main osen areas, one is located indoor and can be access through the bath area, the "silver" spring is completely indoor, whilst the "gold" spring is semi outdoor. The other area, will require you to get dressed, and walk outdoor through a path and into another area, the outdoor osen area where again, both "gold" and "silver" spring is available and separated into two pools. What is also interesting, is that the Female and Male changing room swap every day (i have no idea why) and that they had fitted a walking course in the outdoor "silver" spring, so you can simulate the spots underneath the foot whilst enjoying the outdoor osen. ||||I was lucky that there weren't a lot of visitors in town, so most of the time, i was the only one in the osen areas. I had such a great time enjoying myself and relaxing in the osen. Due to low number of visitors, I also managed to make a last minute booking at the massage parlor, and had a very relaxing one hour massage.||||The hotel room was very clean, the room, although a bit small was sufficient (as you will not be spending much time inside the room). Dinner and breakfast was served inside my room and my server was very attentive, although she only speak basic English, she attended to my every need and I felt like I was being properly taken care of.||||Overall, as the hotel was located in the outskirt of a busy town on a hill, my overall experience was quite different from the other osen hotels. It was very peaceful experience and would recommend staying a night when...

Read moreOnce we arrived to Arima Onsen the hotel was very easy to get to, especially with the unlimited access to their shuttle bus. Making it extremely convenient for us to get around to and from the hotel. ||||As we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted like royals by the staffs and recieved a 5% gift voucher at reception. There was a staff for every role such as taking your bag to the entrance, putting away your shoes, directing you to the reception, attending to you at dinner, making your futon etc. We were treated as royals from beginning to end, I cannot emphasize enough how great their customer service was. ||||The room we booked had a beautiful view of the mountains surrounding Arima and it was a traditional Japanese style room with tatami mats. The room was well maintained, clean and had all the amenities you needed. ||||We had traditional Japanese food for our 5 course dinner (pretty sure it was 5, it was a lot of food regardless!) and breakfast. All the food was of high quality seafood (very seafood orientated) and it was delicious! Also, you can arrange the time of when you want your dinner because dinner and breakfast will served in your room.||||They had two types of onsens indoor and outdoor, and also saunas. The outdoor onsen was my favourite, especially at night when there were less people and when the atmosphere was most serene. ||||One fault was that the room was quite hot and I found it difficult to sleep. I did ask for them to make the room cooler but apparently she said they can't because they're not using a heater. I guess the rooms are very well insulated. ||||Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my stay here. I highly...
