Motoyu Ryuusenkaku — Local services in Kobe

Motoyu epitomises the authentic Japanese ryokan experience and incorporating this with the same experience for kids as well. Once you check in you can choose your own Yukata from a room for you to wear throughout the venue or even walk around the Arima town. There is a dedicated place area at the lobby, there’s a seperate indoor pool area and not to forget the onsen open bath with a mountain view. Stunning and serene with the sounds of the flowing water and warmth of the onsen water, there is a strong sulphur but not overpowering. Our room had tatami mats, a TV, powder area, fridge and in room bath/toilet. You can also book your own private bath for a fee or go communal for free. The kaiseki is top notch, the toro was extremely fresh and all the ingredients is quintessential Japan. All the food is brought to your room including drinks without you having to lift a finger. Their breakfast is filled with fresh ingredients and a good mixture of western and Japanese items. Motoyu is situated at the top of a hill and hiking here with luggage is not recommended but doable. The room was big, and had a beautiful view of the mountains with autumn foliage beginning to show. The lobby is quite nice, with a little gift shop. |The staff speak English well and are quite friendly. We loved the DINNER! Kobe beef was incredible, as was the rest of the courses. |We enjoyed the private onsen as well as the public outdoor onsens. |The downside was the breakfast experience… the restaurant felt more like a cafeteria at a childcare faciity than I higher end hotel. We were sat right in the middle of the room (not a table by a window), with each of the other tables surrounding us had several kids and/or babies. There were also toys all over the restaurant… and all of the empty tables were very messy… I do think this hotel m is really catering to families, but… it really cheapened the experience for us, and we wish we had had our breakfast in our room instead. |Other than that it was a great experience. I think we probably over paid for what it was, and perhaps next time we would search for an adults-only Ryokan… but we...

良いお宿でした(´ω`)　マタニティプランがあったのでここにしました。特典がいっぱいで嬉しかったです。

露天風呂……金の湯に入れます。木の浴槽で、山が見えて良い景色です。もう一種類は普通のお湯？の岩の浴槽でした。 10月は外に出た瞬間ちょっと寒いですが、急いで身体を洗って温泉に入れば寒さも気にならなくなります。その気候のおかげか、他の人は室内浴場の方に流れていたらしく、露天風呂は独り占めできて良かったです。それが良かったので室内浴場は行ってません。覗いてみたら綺麗な感じでした。 赤ちゃん用の椅子やボディソープや綿棒もあって、男湯女湯共に用意されていたようです。

部屋風呂……高野槙のお風呂のついたお部屋にしました。木の匂いがして特別感がありました。勝手に「温泉が出るのかな？」と思って予約したので、普通のお湯だったのはガッカリでしたが（温泉の性質上、そりゃそうだよねと思いましたが；；）、広くて時代劇のような木のお風呂に入れて楽しかったです。２人で入ってもゆったりの大きさでした。

夜ご飯……部屋食で、豆乳鍋と蒸し鍋が選べて、蒸し鍋にしました。お姉さんが食材を鍋に山のように積み上げてくれます。写真に撮りたくなるような見事な山ができましたが、いかんせん盛るのに時間がかかる…( ;´-ω-)　そばでお姉さんが一生懸命頑張ってくれてるので、食べてる間、何だか申し訳ない。盛っている途中を見れると何が積み上げられているのか分かるからいいけど、それはお品書きに一覧にしてくれていいから、先に盛ってから部屋に持ってきてほしかったかも。野菜も色んな種類でたくさん摂れて、何より神戸ポークが美味しかった(´ω`) でもマタニティプランなのにチーズや生ハムがあって、食べるのがためらわれた。問題ない物ですと言われて食べたけど、ちょっと気になった。

朝ご飯……和洋食ビュッフェ。時間制限ありで2回の完全入れ替え制で、チェックイン時にフロントで時間が選べます。料理はどれも美味しいです♪　小さいケーキやシュークリームもあって嬉しかったです。 ただ、通路が狭くてちょっと動きづらい( ;´-ω-)　椅子が大きすぎるのか、配置が悪いのか、すぐそばを料理持った人が何度も行きかうのでちょっと落ち着かない；；　赤ちゃん用の料理やお皿や椅子もありました。 赤ちゃん……小さなお子様含め、多かったです。赤ちゃんも泊まれる旅館とうたってるだけあって、その層のお客さんは多いです。でも皆さんマナー守っているので、嫌な思いをすることとかはありませんでした。

部屋……古い建物を直した感じですが、綺麗です。トイレは配管とか少し古い感じはするけど、ウォシュレットがあるので不満はありませんでした。外人さんが多い時期だったので、元気な声が部屋の中まで聞こえてきて、防音はあまり期待しない方がいいです。 ビュー……窓からは隣のホテルと、広がる山々が見えます。良い景色です。

建物……カラオケルームに向かう階段が、昔ながらの旅館の風情があって良かったです。ひっそりと存在しているので、もっと「フォトスポットです！」みたいにして、浴衣で階段に座って撮ってもらったりしたらSNSとかに上げてくれるんじゃないかなと思いました。

マタニティプラン……抱き枕良かったです(´ω`)普段は使ってないので、確かにこれはいいな、と思えました。アメニティも肌に優しいのを別で用意してもらえたりマッサージクリーム？などももらえて良かったです。聴診器を期待して行きましたが、胎児の心拍を聞く専用の電子機器のようなものではなく、ガチ聴診器で、なかなか難しかったです。実際これで聞けるの？ってくらい、自分の心拍とか衣擦れの音しか聞こえなかったです(...
