The best business hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan. Right in central Nagano near my favourite karaoke bar, but still offers large rooms and affordable parking. Spending only as much as an APA Hotel single room in Tokyo, I was able to stay in a recently refurbished and very spacious corner room on a high floor with a sweeping view of the city and mountains. Just epic. Bed was a little bit hard per the domestic preference, but not a rock by any means. The bed and bath linens were fresh, soft and not overly starched. Air conditioning and soundproofing were excellent. Plenty of storage. A western style bath, which is interesting (I personally prefer the deep Japanese ofuro). The cleanliness of the room was perfect - and I mean literally PERFECT, unimpeachable. Your cleaner for the day leaves a business card. Amenities were excellent including quality razors, skin and hair products and bath salts. The room had a basic pod-style coffee machine which made serviceable tea. A bit sorry I didn’t book breakfast here, it’s well regarded by other reviewers and to be honest the coffee situation in Nagano is not the best. Service was great, very helpful and with enough English language skills if you need it. The hotel is more conservatively styled than APA (which really goes hard for the Trump bling 👎). In this case bland is good. Classical music was piped into the foyers which gave a pleasantly nostalgic feeling 😊 I completely recommend this place and will stay again if I ever come back to the...
Read moreA very bad accommodation. The worst JAL hotel I have ever been😓😵💫
The initially arranged room was on the fifth floor, very lower floor. The facilities were outdated, the toilet had a strong stench, and the exhaust fan was unusable. The front desk helped change to another room, which was in a corner on the fifth floor. The room type was irregular and the layout was very strange.
Finally, I chose to upgrade to a high-floor room by adding 2,000 yen. The decoration was very new, but I still felt uncomfortable. The bed is placed right next to the window. This layout is usually only found in low-cost hotels such as Toyoko inn. There are no chairs in the room. The sofa is of an irregular style and it's very uncomfortable to sit on.
The breakfast was priced at over 2,000 yen, which was quite expensive. However, the dishes were rather ordinary.
What's The most terrifying thing is that the hotel received Southeast Asian tour groups, resulting in an extremely crowded breakfast. Those tourists were very noisy and had a strong smell on them, which made other guests feel exhausted and...
