Was booked with Dormy Inn hotel but not available when plan changed. Searched around as it was a super peak weekend in Nagano and nothing much left available as I was looking for a hotel come with grand bath. I was a bit hesitated due to its 3.7 Google review. I’m glad I decided to booked this hotel. hotel primarily caters to Japanese guests, creating a more authentic and peaceful atmosphere. While the building is older, it is impeccably maintained and meets high Japanese cleanliness standards. The staff speaks English, making communication easy. Breakfast is excellent, featuring must-try local Nagano dishes. Since most guests are familiar with proper onsen etiquette, the grand bath remains a quiet and hygienic space—free from the disruptions often caused by uninformed tourists. A great choice for those seeking a traditional and relaxing stay. Decent walk )7mins normal walk to the Nagano station( also the bus stops bound for Snow Monkey Park annd Togakushi Shrine) and Zenkoji temple. Eateries and convenience...
Read moreThe buffet breakfast was amazing! Mostly Japanese food, and a few Western options. The onsen and sauna are quite small, but still relaxing after a long day. The staff were kind and they let me lock up my suitcase for the day after checking out at 10:00 AM. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the station. There is a 7/11 directly across the street and just around the corner, there is a great English pub called The Red Dragon. About 1.7 km from Zenkoji Temple!
The WiFi was not fast and did not work well in some areas. The building and facilities are quite old, but the bathroom in the rooms were modern. Overall, a good value for money, but if you prefer things to be newer and more 'modern', this may not be the best...

It was pretty "spacious" for a business hotel so I was pleased. Coffee and green tea are provided. Although the room was a bit dated, it was very comfortable.||||The best part about this hotel was the onsen. It was rather small but there is enough space for 3-4 people. There is also a sauna. An onsen in a business hotel is a rarity, so I thoroughly enjoyed it despite it not being the nicest onsen! Do remember that this is a business hotel, NOT a ryokan.||||The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to the main station, with a 7-11 just across...
