My family and I have visited Japan for many times. While staying in different grades of hotels, we can still have and are impressed much with the high standards of courtesy services provided by the hotel staff.||Unfortunately, the excellent hospitality image of the Japan hotel industry was damaged by the hostile attitude of the manager , mr. Kimata, of the Via Inn Nagoya when we were a group of 18 persons checking in on 8 Dec 2018. As the front desk and hotel lobby is very small, 18 of us had to stand and wait for checking in for over half an hour. Mr Kimata seemed to be annoyed by the crowded lobby with the sounds of chatting about the itinerary among us and then suddenly shouted to us to keep quiet ! When we requested to move in nearby restaurant to sit and not to overcrowd the small lobby, Mr Kimata refused our request but later reluctantly accepted us to move in the restaurant as more other guests came to the hotel . However, when we all moved to the restaurant and sit down , mr Kimata warned us loudly not to eat and drink in the restaurant. We’re all extremely slight builds, and had horrible sleeps each night. Struggled to fit large case open on floor, as the room was that small. Location was great for Nagoya station, easy travel to Suzuka for Japanese GP and Shinkansen for onward travel around Japan. Family mart directly below was handy & a public playground outside the back of hotel was a hit with the kid. We just needed a bigger accomodation type, our mistake for...

They have a small kid care bag that is super cute. We took this location due to its location being near the jr station and toyota car rental.
What surprised us is the close proximity of a children playground as well which is an added bonus and my child enjoyed it.
If you are too tired, the hotel is just beside a family mart and a lovely bento stall. Again superb service and welcoming staff there as well.
Near this place is a restaurant called denny's that is super chils friendly with lovely desserts and pancakes. Whats interesting is that they serve baby friendly juice...
