Our recent stay at Hotel Nikko Narita was marked by exceptional service and convenience, making it an ideal choice for both transit passengers and those seeking a comfortable lodging experience near Narita Airport.
From the outset, the efficiency of the check-in process at Hotel Nikko Narita was noteworthy. Despite the bustling lobby and apparent influx of guests, the process was swift and seamless, thanks to the well-organized and multilingual staff. This immediate positive impression was bolstered by the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms, which were found to be immaculate and well-appointed.
While the food offerings at the hotel are priced on the higher side by Japanese standards, they present good value, especially when considering the exchange rate from a US perspective. The quality of the meals was impressive, adhering to high Japanese culinary standards and surpassing typical expectations by US benchmarks. Additionally, the hotel's "One Harmony" loyalty program offers significant discounts on food and services, enhancing overall value for guests.
Transportation to and from the airport is exceptionally convenient with the hotel's complimentary bus service, which operates with commendable punctuality on a 20-30 minute schedule. Furthermore, the provision of a free shuttle to Narita station and nearby attractions adds a layer of accessibility and convenience for guests wishing to explore the area.
For those traveling with children or simply seeking entertainment, the hotel's proximity to the airport runway provides a unique vantage point. Observing airplanes ascend and descend, including the occasional go-around maneuver, offers an engaging spectacle.
For guests interested in a more traditional Japanese experience, the hotel offers tatami rooms. While these rooms might not align with every Western comfort standard, they are spacious and culturally immersive, capable of accommodating families or groups comfortably.
The presence of a 24/7 Lawson convenience store within the hotel is a thoughtful amenity, offering affordable food options and essentials, which is particularly beneficial given the hotel's remote location from other dining and shopping venues.
Hotel Nikko Narita stands out for its efficiency, cleanliness, and range of services, making it a top choice for travelers in transit or those seeking a convenient and comfortable stay near Narita Airport. Its family-friendly amenities and commitment to guest satisfaction further underscore its appeal as a distinguished hospitality...
Read moreThis hotel is neither luxurious nor new, but I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near Narita Airport for the following reasons:
Transport (Free Shuttle Buses) They provide free shuttles between hotel and airport, hotel and JR station and the nearby AEON mall too. The drivers were very helpful and assisted with loading our luggages onto the bus.
Excellent Service I would say the service was outstanding and the best if not one of the best I've experienced in Japan. From the moment the shuttle dropped us off at the door, there were staff rushing out to help us with our luggages and bags. At check-in, they gave us welcome packs for all my 3 kids which consisted of PJs, towels , toothbrush sets and even little bedroom slippers! Seriously for the very affordable price of the hotel rooms, I was not expecting much. The staff then proceeded to bring all our stuff up to our rooms for us. When we missed the airport shuttle, there was a lady staff who could speak Chinese and helped us to book 2 taxis to the airport, explaining to the 2 taxi drivers our situation and telling them which terminal to drop us at. We are truly thankful to the staff here for their impeccable service and assistance.
Amenities There was a 24hr Lawsons convenience store on the ground floor and there were several other restaurants in the hotel that we could conveniently dine at which was a lifesaver considering our flight was delayed and we didn't want to travel far for food with 3 young kids. What's even better is there was a vending machine at the lift lobby on our level. Super convenient for me to buy a few bottles of water if I'm too lazy to go downstairs!
Their breakfast buffet was very decent with egg station, bread and pastries, cooked food, pasta, juices etc. Very value for money indeed.
Finally, what really wowed me was their Christmas decorations. They actually went the extra mile to deck up the whole garden in their backyard in beautiful Christmas lights! It was like an attraction in itself!
Well done Hotel Nikko, you have truly outdone yourself! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My only suggestion for improvement would be to allow the windows to be opened slightly for ventilation as it gets...
Read moreHotel Nikko Narita works perfectly as an airport hotel, delivering on convenience, comfort, and exceptional service. Its prime location, just a swift 10-minute bus transfer from Narita Airport's Terminals 1, 2, and 3, ensures a stress-free transit experience. The hotel's shuttle service is reliable, with two transfers per hour that consistently run on schedule, making connections effortless.|Our experience here was strongly influenced by the attentive and efficient staff. From the moment of arrival, their focus is squarely on guest satisfaction. Check-in was a breeze – friendly and remarkably quick. Similarly, their dedication extends to departure; a simple key drop and the attentive lobby staff are on hand to shepherd you and your luggage to the waiting bus, ensuring a smooth transition for your onward journey.|While the rooms might carry a hint of their age, they are impeccably clean and fully functional. The bathrooms, perhaps the most visibly dated elements, are spotless. The step-in shower, integrated into the bathtub, though a touch awkward, delivered powerful water pressure and, crucially during a scorching summer, the coldest water I encountered in Tokyo. My room had views over the pool and runway and impressive noise insulation, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep despite the proximity to the airport. There was no noise from neighbouring rooms, either. |Beyond the comfortable accommodations, Hotel Nikko Narita offers a good variety of options to the neighbouring area. Guests can take advantage of complimentary bus transfers to the nearby Aeon Mall for last-minute shopping excursions or to Narita rail station, which then gives you access to Naritasan Shinsho-ji. For those preferring to stay on-site, the Lawson convenience store provides a handy option for snacks and essentials.|Overall, my experience at Hotel Nikko Narita was overwhelmingly positive. It provides good value, with prices significantly more accessible than accommodations in central Tokyo, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking a convenient, comfortable, and well-serviced...
