⸻My wife wrote: To mark the first anniversary of our wedding reception, we were graciously invited to a celebratory dinner at Hotel Nikko Narita—a gesture that touched us deeply. What awaited us was not merely a meal, but an experience of extraordinary artistry and heart, brought to life by the gifted Masuda-san. It was a night of quiet wonder, celebrating not only our anniversary but the sublime beauty of shared memories, craftsmanship, and the kind of hospitality that lingers in the soul long after the table is cleared. An evening we will...
Read moreI remember visiting just for a dinner an eon ago. The air, food quality and staff service are excellent. After all, it is Nikko. It just is expensive. It is near Narita Airport, so it is in rural area and hard to visit unless you are hotel guest or you exert an extra effort to get here. But I would recommend this relaxed eating environment.
Now, I am back after 4 months. The price was up 600 yen (5 bucks plus)! For what? I failed to see the legitimacy of the price differences in service or food quality. It was post-pay but it is prepay, now. Too many customers left without pay the bills? Live cooking chef may not to know the difference between ‘over-easy’ and ‘over-hard’, or perhaps eggs weren’t good enough for ‘over-easy’. Either way, I got ‘hard’ instead of my requested ‘easy’. The staff was cordial I assume but did not noticed due to too many irritating differences. Oh, cashier was slow to take my money. It took a full minute to get register going. Food? Nothing noteworthy. The view? My table was not in good location. It seems my Friday will be a gloomy one. No, I...
Read moreWe stayed 2 nights at the Nikko Narita Hotel and bought 4 Serena restaurant breakfast buffet meals. We also have dinner (not dinner buffet) here twice. For breakfast, the food selections were excellent. Ranging from Western style (eggs, ham/tomato/cheese omelets carefully prepared by a chef, cooked to your liking), pancake, cereals, etc. to Eastern style (congee, rice, fresh, pickled, & cooked vegetables, kelp, fish (salmon & mackerel), ham, side dishes, etc. that you would normally have at dinner time, etc. and a nice selection of dietary supplements such as vitamin C, iron, zinc, fish oil, etc. - a nice and rare addition to dining that we have not seen at any other restaurants we visited.
For dinner, the food we selected were just excellent at reasonable prices, and they were pleasantly decorated tiny flowers and leaves. The restaurant setting is relaxed and quiet with servers busy walking around tending to the...
