Lodge Nagano — Hotel in Nozawaonsen

Had read reviews on Lodge Nagano and was not disappointed. Very cosy and extremely well appointed accomodation. Modern decor, comfortable couches to hang out at end of day around the fire, doonas are amazing, great breakfast provided each morning. General vibe is very laid back and friendly, mix of clientele from families to young folk. But the stand out here is the staff - friendly and helpful. Big shout out to staff Jed from Sydney and Masa from Japan. These guys were the perfect mix of hospitality and friendliness and helped to make our stay extra enjoyable. Luke was a great source of information for eating around town and his video on Onsen etiquette was crucial. ||Short walk to ski hill and good ski storage close to base so you don’t have to lug it back to accomodation each night. Very happy with our choice...

Stayed here in Dec 23 with 2 boys. It's really an unbeatable location where it's a short walk to their ski locker where you leave your gear the day before and go to collect them the next morning. From there, it's a short distance to the main gondola and where your instructors would be waiting for you to go to the slopes. Fuss free especially if you're with children. Daily breakfast is hearty and fantastic. Room itself was comfortable with warm bedding. Ensuite rooms are available for families but these are limited as with typical ski lodging so make sure they book them early. |The best part is all the friendly staff with warm smiles at any minute. This was our first family trip to N.O. We had a fantastic experience. Lodge Nagano is so cozy, clean and welcoming. The entire team was fully dedicated, friendly & helpful. There are 2 fireplaces and lots of wine to keep you warm and great apre-ski evenings. The lodge is v close to the Sparena thermls ( the only mixed onsen that allows swin suits at the outdoor pools ) Breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning. The town is absolutely lovely, traditional Japanes vibes mixed with international hospitality, all the comforts you might need and great winter sport fun. ||We'd definitely stay here again and big thanks to the family...
