You get what you pay for. My husband and I were very excited to stay at this hotel because of the dinosaur animatronics. My husband loves dinosaurs and I think it's adorable. Imagine our disappointment after checking into the hotel. The best part of this visit was the check in. When we went up to our room, though, the entire hallway of the hotel 5th floor reeked of cigarette smoke. The hotel is a non-smoking hotel but it smelled like a gang had been smoking in the hallways. My allergies were immediately irritated and I could not stop coughing/sneezing/rubbing my eyes all night. There were also strollers and several bags of trash in front of the hotel room next door to us and directly across from us. It looked messy and ugly. The rooms are very small, but adequately sized for Japan. The pictures make them appear much larger, but there really is little space and the room we had did not have a closet or area for our suitcases so we had to squeeze around them. The view from our window was the wall of the building right next is. There were also much less amenities provided in the room as opposed to what most general hotels in Japan offer. It was less than a meter away and obstructed all visibility. The shower was large and spacious, but smelled like rotting eggs/sulfur. When we climbed into bed, I could see a stain through the thin cover that wraps around the blanket. When I lifted the edge to look inside, I realized that the stain was dried blood! 🤢 We had booked a 4-night stay, but ended up checking out after the first night. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in Japan, and my husband and I have been to Japan many times! The only reason why I give a 2-star review and not a 1-star is because the price of the rooms were so cheap (~$75-100 USD/night) and so you get what you pay for. When we checked out early, the hotel staff did not seem concerned about the reasons we decided to leave early, only that we were checking out before our scheduled checkout date. My husband did not get a refund, despite the hotel having many issues, but he also did not fight for a refund because we know Japanese culture isn't big on returns. I was so disappointed with this hotel. Even with the animatronic dinosaurs, the rooms did not have anything dinosaur-related (unless you booked their themed rooms). I feel like even the non-themed rooms should have a little something in them considering the theme of the hotel, though. The location is also great for those who want to be close to Dotonbori Street and the heart of the tourist area. If you don't mind bloody sheets and rotten eggs in your shower, than the value matches the product. This hotel, however, was not meant for my...

I have to say i chose this hotel because of the dinosaurs, the price and the breakfast. ||||Rooms are small but very efficient. Shower and toilet are separate. Sink is installed in the bedroom. ||||A comment on the robot dinosaurs at the front desk. They can only facilitate check in and out. For anything else you need to access the small robot on the side to ask about tours and other details. But there are things that only a human can address. Like extra towels and umbrellas. We tried asking for extra pillows but the staff in charge said no. We had our son with us and we had to make do with using the robe as a pillow. I hope they could provide at least four pillows per room. But otherwise the room was excellent. Cleaned daily and amenities (comb, cotton pad and swabs, etc) was provided daily. One note, no bottled water provided for our entire stay. No English channels at all. ||||A handy phone was in the room that we could take out with unlimited internet for us to use. However we leased a mobile wifi device, so it was redundant. However future guests might appreciate this feature. There is a tablet in the room but we did not use. ||||Location is right between two midosuji stations. About 10 minutes slow walking away. Since the hotel is located in the middle of the americamura area. Lots of pedestrians walking the street. Which could be problematic if riding a taxi as people normally walk on the center of the street. ||||Breakfast is plentiful, tasty and very healthy. First time I’ve encountered grilled vegetables daily. ||||Overall a good place to stay. Many restaurants around the hotel. Staff is kind and is eager to help....

I love this hotel. The dinosaur at receptionist made me felt awkward initially but slowly I got used to it everytime going out and back to the hotel for days 🤣.

The room was very spacious, after our stay in Tokyo which had very small space, this was like a relief. Oh an it was very clean too. They separated bath room, toilet, and sink, which was great. Dinosaur as receptionist was unique and cute, and if we needed help from the staff there's a bell right there and the staff came real quick to help. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I experienced a stressful situation with my luggage delivery issue and there was this young male staff who was really trying to help despite it was the fault of delivery company and not the hotel. He didn't solve it but i really appreciate the kindness. Location was really great. Close to train stations, convenient stores, Dotonburi area, and lots of restaurants/stores. Just watch out there were also some bar/karaoke since this was tourists area, so it might seem unsafe (but it was totally safe, at least for us haha). Small thing but i really like the shampoo, soap, conditioner, smell so good! I requested double pillow per person when booked the hotel and they really...

I first stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and absolutely loved it. The dinosaurs 🦖 at the front desk were really unique and hotel room was spotlessly clean. So I decided to stay at this hotel again on my recent trip to Osaka. I'm very disappointed with the hotel this time mainly due to the lack of cleanliness. Dust is visible on the humidifier vent, air conditioner vent, bed headboard. Bath looks clean but could feel scum when swiped by hand. Toilet ring not cleaned very well. Could see marks on it. Toilet water spray nozzle dirty (this might be an issue for other toilets too, just not visible?) . What really gets me is the blood stain on the bed sheet. The top sheet is clean, which means the bed sheet has been changed by hotel cleaner. Yet they decided it's ok to leave the layers below as it is without washing. Because the top sheet is very thin, the stain is still visible. It's mind blowing so many issues could happen in one room. Above items suggest management issues in the hotel. Rooms are cleaned without much care and not checked by management.
