Had a very pleasant stay for 6 days. Service was good. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The hotel also provides free drinks and snacks throughout the day from after lunch till 2400. But the choices are quite limited and repeated, especially if you also have breakfast there. Their variety for breakfast is quite limited. Only two types. Which means that menu will repeat every other day. Breakfast on day 1 will be repeated on day 3. However, the only things they change are just the fish, noodles, fruits I think. Hotel room is generally clean. They provide the basic items such as disposable toothbrushes, two bottles of water, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, etc. You may also find the other disposable items such as shaver, comb, etc. near the front desk. Take only what you need. Hotel WiFi is very strong in the room. I stayed at level 5 and the internet speed was very fast in the room. There is no wardrobe in the room, but there are wall hooks and hangers for your clothes. In case you need to iron your clothes, you have to request from the front desk for the steamer. I like the shower room; it is separated from the dry area and basin. That helps to prevent cold wind from entering after shower, so you won't catch a cold. There is also the rain shower. The toilet bowl is separated from the main toilet, and the small toilet has auto sensor to detect once you sit on the WC. The sound of loud flushing water will be played to mask the sounds produced when you do business. The volume is adjustable. Hotel room not much walking space or luggage space, so I had to put the luggage on the sofa. Bed was quite comfortable. Oh, they also provide pyjamas. Location is quite good. Roughly in between Shinsaibashi and Namba metro station. Should be slightly nearer to walk to shinsaibashi metro station (can just walk to OPA building for one of the entrance) Only a few min walk to the shopping street. Just around the hotel there are many small stalls.. selling takoyaki, fried food, ramen, clothings, family mart, etc.

Hi everyone. Long post ahead but I just want to share our experienced with Karaksa Hotel Osaka Namba. We arrived at the hotel last October 30, 2024, availed family room with connecting doors. We are only 4, me, my uncle, aunt and their only child who is 10yrs old. The hotel has no vault inside the room and we were not informed that there are vault outside (nearby front desk) that can be used for personal belongings such as money, etc. My uncle and his wife has extra money (JPY) for our tour separate with money in their wallet which was put inside the white envelope and then another plastic envelope. The envelope contains Peso notes also. Since we do not have vault, said money was placed in one of his luggages. FYI, this hotel has cleaners that can access the room when the visitors aren't inside or just touring around. Only Nov 1 that my uncle noticed that the white envelope was placed outside but there's no money anymore. He then checked the plastic envelope only to found out that only Phil Peso was left. We immediately report this to front desk but they are insisting that only 2 cards accessed the 2 doors. Impossible since every time we went back to the hotel, rooms already clean and has new pair of nightwears and towels. We are also having a hard time communicating with those hotel desk personnel as they cannot understand even simple english. We know that we have at fault in this incident but we are quiet disappointed towards them. We only rely to their norm that Japanese people are generally considered to be HONEST. This is the letter that we have received, ofcourse who else actually confess to their wrong doings right? The bureaucracy of the process too is 👎.

Hotel Karaksa Namba was super convenient to Shinsaibashi, the major shopping district in Namba, walking distance to lots of shops, and restaurants, but tucked on a quiet side street so its not too noisy or rowdy. Their canteen serves complimentary breakfast! Choice of continental (cereal/granola, toast, jams, croissants, yoghurt and fruit), and some cooked food - salted cod roe spaghetti (random for breakfast, but delicious) or fried rice, broccoli, meat and vegetarian option . Self service drink station with green tea, hot water, juice and soup available for the rest of the afternoon / evening. Go early if your group wanna sit together. 2 bedroom room was spacious enough, but the 3 bed room was pretty tight (added bed, same room size). Would help if they had more hooks in the bathroom to hang your stuff on (e.g. toiletry / makeup bags). Slippers, toiletries provided. Eco friendly room service is an option. Laundry on 2nd floor, 500¥(?) for a 3kg load. Washing powder provided in machine but takes 2 hours. No gym. Great option for non fussy travellers. Excellent location. Decent view from 9th floor.

Thank you for your reply on my review. I understand most of your explanations and excuses about the free breakfast, and that you are trying to make a cost-effective hotel at a good location for tourists. However, I can not understand your behavior telling me to 'spend money outside if you don't like our free breakfast' I reviewed as 'Don't like the free breakfast. Hope to improve the quality even though the hotel has to take some extra charges for the breakfast' I didn't mean that I want free meals with higher quality. Did I?

Well, some tourists would like the free breakfast with low qualities, some others might like good quality breakfasts with extra-charges. I am just closer to the latter. I know that I will spend money outside your hotel for the good meal now. But can I know that before visiting your hotel and try the breakfast?

You might think like I'm just a complainer over the 'free meal'. 'Why is he complaining over the free breakfast? It's FREE! Free meals and complaining?? I don't understand!' like this, right?

However I believe that many tourists would prefer good quality meal with some extra charges rather than low-quality meal without any charge. Think about it. If you are visiting other countries for sightseeing and have only 4days, it means that you have chance to enjoy only 12 meals in that country. Most of people don't know where to have breakfast in other countries since the most of the guidebooks don't inform many breakfast restaurants. Therefore a lot of people choose to have breakfast at the hotel they stay or at the convenience stores. They would not care about spending few more dollars to have good-quality meal to make a good-feeling start of the day.

Hey, here's what. If you are keep trying to serve free breakfast, why don't you reduce the numbers of the plates you serve and improve the quality? Both customers, who like the free meal or the others like the good meal with extra charges, would like the reduction if the food quality goes up.

Bye.

Dear 유Elias,

Thank you for your staying at karaksa hotel Osaka Namba. Also, thank you taking your time post on review.

Our hotel's concept is you are to spend your budget on travel by keeping the cost of your stay low. Therefore, we aim at the construction that can be used comfortably while minimizing the things that customers use. It is because of the location that the price is slightly higher. If you enjoy Osaka, our hotel is very convenient location. As a result, demand will increase and prices will increase slightly.

However, I am trying to control the price properly every day because you can not spend comfortably.

We will improve more about the free breakfast.

But if you don't like breakfast, you can spend money at outside cafe for breakfast . That is because our breakfast is free so you can spend money other purpose.

Your opinion this time is very helpful for us.

We hope you will stay...

I must say before I checked in I thought it was just an ordinary hotel.|But after checking in I was astonished by the many good qualities this hotel has to offer.||Location is perfect, right next to the Dotonburi and shinsai bashi areas. |The staff and very friendly and helpful.
