Everything!! I was greeted with a smile and love. The music in the entrance is amazing and the pictures around the place shows how much they invested into this place. The staff was extremely friendly and we had great conversation in English and Japanese. The staff were actually concerned about the guests. I was casually speaking to one of the staff and I had told them that I didn't wake up until noon and she was actually concerned and asked if them cleaning disturbed my sleep. It was a very sweet gesture and I appreciated her concern very much. They had a routine set that kept that place very clean; both the kitchen and the dorms. I was highly impressed. Every morning they had free cereal set out along with free milk for breakfast. They also provided free ramen!! As well as free coffee and tea. How wonderful!! The location for the price was amazing as well; in walking distance to the popular shopping mall district and tourist areas. Which considering, I thought that I would have trouble sleeping, but at night there were no sounds from outside. Maybe like one drunk person (It's Christmas/New Year Time). Lol. I had more trouble sleeping because of the young lady who was snoring in the bunk next to me but that really wasn't a problem to be honest. They even had a takoyaki party one night and it was sooooo good. Soul Food they called it. My only complaint is that the bed was a little tough, but it may have just been my bed. Overall I would come back again if I'm in Osaka. ありがとうございます Love...

Hostel Q is a classic backpackers stay. It's affordable, social and super close to the busy district of Dontonbouri. You're right in the middle of the action here! If you're looking for luxury, Hostel Q is not the place for you. If you're looking for a few quick nights to feel safe, sleep and party, this is definitely the right place. The lower floor is a socializing/communal area with a kitchen and some seating. The main floor is reception with additional seating and as you work up the floors you see the hostel rooms. There are private rooms however they are bunk beds. The beds were moderately comfortable, AC was in the rooms and the bathrooms on every floor were relatively clean, I saw several staff cleaning the bathrooms daily. Some of the toilets still had a funky smell despite cleaning, but otherwise it was clean. We stayed here for 4 nights and loved how close it was to everything, including the train station just being a few minutes walk away. It was very affordable as well. I would recommend younger...

The hostel is looked about a 10 minutes walk from Namba station and 1 block away from the Glico man. Location wise, this was a nice place to stay. ||||Amenities and cleanliness-wise, you get what you pay for. We got a double room and the beds were just a mattress topper on top of a foldable mattress. The beds were okay for us, but people who need a mattress with extra cushion should look elsewhere. Rooms were also pretty thin so we could hear people talking and as they walked up the stairs and entered their rooms.||||Misc:||Rooms are non-smoking.||Towels are available to rent at a fee.||Laundry available at fee (detergent provided).||Printing available at fee.||Free wifi in building. ||Elevator in building.||Reception closes at 10pm so you need to enter by the side door and input the given code.||Kitchen and lounge in basement floor.||||Recommended for budget travelers looking to stay near Dotonbori.||Not recommended for light sleepers or people who need thick mattresses or people with high...

This is my last accommodation in Japan. さようなら Liked · Location was great. I spend two nights here. Property owner very kind, polite and helping tendency, he welcomed me without his presence at late evening that was like puzzled. He pasted the instructions as signage notes from entrance doors to till the bed. that was awesome. Disliked · I couldn't say that I didn't enjoy it. Upon entering the room, I felt someone's socks or socks and something smelling all over the room. It was a bad smell. But when I went to bed, there was no smell and I slept peacefully. The Wi-Fi connection here is set up as a ground connection, so when you go to the next floor, the connection will be lost, so the respective floor will switch to the Wi-Fi connection, but the password remains the same. It was a little inconvenient, but it's okay.

A classic backpackers hostel, which can be hard to find in Japan. Everything is clean, rooms are quite spacious and beds have everything you need (curtain, light, power outlet - no USB only plug). Shower is clean but not the biggest if you’re tall and water wasn’t the warmest when I was there. It’s cash only on arrival. Plenty of shops and restaurants around and it’s not far from the main areas of Osaka. One thing - it’s right by the canal and is literally filled with mosquitos right throughout. If you’re prone to mosquito bites, maybe not for you.

Stayed one night here- it did the job, but that’s about it. The location was convenient, close to restaurants and shops, but the facilities were basic and a bit worn down. The staff were polite, though it felt more like a quick stopover than a place to actually rest and recharge. The rooms were clean enough, but not much privacy or atmosphere (TINY SHARED BATHROOMS, see sink in photo) It’s fine if you just need a cheap place to crash for the night, but I probably wouldn’t stay longer than that.
