We stayed with 2 adults, a 0 year old and a 3 year old.I'm worried about my 0 year old falling off the bed.directly to the hotelPlease let me know which room accommodates a baby cot.The reply was that it was possible in a twin room.I added the baby cot option in the reservation notes and they said it was fine.At the front desk on the dayWe are unable to prepare a baby cot because we do not have it in stock. The answer was that they had bed rails on both sides.Check the room.It only has oneAfter all, the fence was low and it was just sandwiched between the futons, so I felt it would be dangerous to move easily.I checked with the front deskIn the first place, the answer was that a baby cot could not be placed in this room.If I needed a baby cot, I was told that I would have to move the room and would be charged an additional fee.I heard that there is no baby cot. When I told her that, all she could do was put a blanket on the floor and sleep. The answer is.In the end, I couldn't let the child sleep alone.pull the blanket downI slept in the small room. The floor was also sticky in some areas, as if something had been spilled on it.Food particles fell out and the air purifier smelled musty. It was not suitable for bringing childrenBecause the staff did not treat me wellIt wasn't a very pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful at breakfast. There was a lot of variety and it...

Very nice onsen experience even for a downtown location. View from the rottenburo (outdoor bath) is or would be quite nice, if not for the entirely understandable metal grate privacy screening. You’ll have to look through at a good angle to really see out into the city but I found it a breathtaking view nonetheless. Bathrobes are comfortable and a nice touch— you can take a bath in the gender-separated baths and then wrap in a robe and “spa pants” and go catch up with opposite gender friends/significant other in the cafe area, which offers lounge chairs and a great city view.

The front staff however are pretty slow on the uptake if you or a friend are in any way of non-obvious gender identity. My Japanese friend (cis-male) friend has perhaps a more feminine face than they are used to. They gave us one male locker room key and one female. It took 4 back-and-forth exchanges for them to understand and apologize for the mistake. Other than that the service here is pretty friendly and attentive, but I’m sure that as with other onsen in Japan they will be even less understanding for someone who is not cis-gendered. If you have trouble getting them to give you the “correct” key by all means make your complaint known to the management.

Oh and tattoos are absolutely banned here as with most places, though you might hope they’d be more permissive in an otherwise...

Overall my and my wife's experience was satisfactory. Could it have been better? Yes. Hotel employees were kind and respectful. The hotel room itself was clean. We had a little trouble finding the hotel, as it shares the building with several other businesses and offices. Check-in was basically straightforward, except the lobby employee inexplicably needed to make copies of our passports. That may just be a Japanese practice. Our room was on the 21st floor, and it offered a great view of the city. The hotel is also very close to Osaka Castle, so if that is on your list of places to see, you should definitely consider Hotel Monterey La Soeur. Since this was our first time staying in a Japanese hotel, we didn't know why we were given two key cards. It turns out that one key is used to activate the electricity in the room. We almost foolishly called hotel staff, because we had no idea why the lights weren't turning on. Just be sure to put that card into the electricity slot by the door. Our semi-double room for two nights costed 14,400 yen, which is very reasonable when you compare it to other hotels in its category in Osaka. Plus, our stay included two free passes to the hotel spa. Prices may differ depending on the season, however. We stayed in the hotel in May. If we stop in Osaka again, we will probably...

We haven't been happy with current accommodation, we haven't found this place to be 4 star, we would rate this between 2-3 stars, the two rooms we received were old, smelled like cigarettes, and dirty, which we reported as soon as we checked in the place, shower had been horrible to use, beds uncomfortable., no washing facilities either, things missing from the room, which we reported as well, lift plays up every time you use it stopping on random floors. To top off our stay, there's been no electricity here, and have been woken all night by emergency lights going on randomly, in our room, we have had no sleep, staff awoke us all with speaker announcements early in the morning, all unnecessary over breakfast announcements, when none had slept due to emergency lights being on at night with no staff around to sort a solution. We also found staff didn’t speak or understand English, yet all other place we have been in Japan have been great. Our travel agent made contact to request a refund for at least one night due to the inconvenience, which they have denied. Please see attached photos. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Our travel agent has agreed this was poorly dealt with by their end and won’t use this hotel for future bookings either.

Amazing hotel for a very low base price. Breakfast is an additional $25 USD per person and the spa is also extra. We didn’t use the spa but had breakfast two of the four days we stayed here. Very much worth the price for the huge food selection! The rooms are pretty tiny but doable for two people. The city views are stunning from the top floors. The nearest station is Kyobashi Station and it’s a 8 min walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is super cool as well to explore. They do weddings here all the time so there’s a chapel in the middle of the hotel along with several other rooms each with its own completely different theme. Pretty cool to walk through these rooms! I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Osaka for the first time. The proximity to the trains is super convenient and the breakfast is just amazing.

This was after I went to Japan to attend my father's funeral! Time was very tight because I had to take a flight to leave Japan the next day! I booked the hotel in the early morning of the same day! This is my first visit to the Monterey series in Kyobashi ~ Hotel Monterey La Soeur Osaka. The front desk staff was friendly and beautiful. They handled the check-in in a very orderly manner and reminded me of the hot spring information and the location of the surrounding convenience stores! Thank you very much! The good morning call reminder was great! I felt well taken care of! My family and I set off smoothly to Kansai Airport to catch the flight! A hotel worth recommending!
