Zero accessibility and no omotenashi. And the worst part? They just renovated so there's truly no excuse for this lack of infrastructure and accessibility, be by Japanese or international law standards. I do not recommend this hotel, avoid it at all costs.

The worst part is that the staff to the very end did not understand the multiple problems of

  1. not having a single accessible room;
  2. the elevator being so tiny, it cannot fit a wheelchair. I kid you not, even a FOLDED child-sized wheelchair does NOT fit in the elevator. So if you need a wheelchair to move around? You cannot go to any place in this hotel. And this right after a renovation, as they proudly stated when we arrived.

In the lobby's bathroom itself there were already problems: the wheelchair does not fit through the box (photo) so, again, if you're in a wheelchair, good luck even using the bathroom in this place. Plus, the wheelchair barely entered through the door, which is also too narrow and heavy.

There isn't a single priority bathroom so if you need to change your baby's diapers, you're also out of luck. It does make one wonder who were the ones responsible for the renovations and how they were chosen.

Even if you don't have any mobility issues, don't expect a good night's rest. Right after a full renovation, the sound insulation is still terrible. Even if you close all windows, you can still hear the trains and anyone talking outside. I've been to older hotels with no recent renovations and never heard so much noise.

There was no empathy or cooperation from the hotel staff, demonstrating a shocking lack of professionalism and omotenashi for a Japanese hotel.

We were not informed that the hotel did not have a single accessible room, and after we explained the impossibility of me —or anyone with mobility issues— staying in such a hotel, the staff still did not show any concern. They did not even help us find another hotel that was accessible. They vehemently said they couldn't do that (meanwhile, any other Japanese hotel in Tokyo and Osaka can and have done this without any problem).

We will most certainly never return. For anyone with 1) mobility difficulties, 2) using a baby stroller and 3) with lots of luggage: don't waste your time with this hotel. They certainly don't care about your comfort, safety, or...

Our first stay at the Shin Osaka Station Hotel. My family and I stayed there as it was very close to the Shin Osaka station and considering that it was winter, close proximity to the station is an advantage. I am glad we picked this hotel. Very cozy, low rise hotel with very gracious and polite front counter staff.||||With luggages, just follow the directions given in the hotel website, proceed to the east exit at Shin Osaka station, take the lift down to ground level and follow the guide to the hotel. About 5-10 mins. Without luggage, just a 5 mins walk from the hotel, across the overhead bridge (green) and you will reach the central south entrance of the station. Very easy and convenient.||||There are eateries that open 24 hours near the hotel if you need to grab a late night supper. Lawson is just round the corner so it is extremely convenient.||||Our stay includes breakfast and the hotel staff will ask us to select at the end of each day for the next day's breakfast. They have western (sandwich) or Japanese (either slice of salmon or mackerel). The drinks (orange juice, water, coffee, tea) is free flow and there are side dishes in buffet style, with miso soup. Personally I would recommend the Japanese breakfast. Neat, tasty, not too filling, appetising.||||There is also a selection of shampoo, face cleanser, moisturiser, both wash, hair brush and wash cloth, made available near the counter. You can pick and choose daily.||||Lift is small, fits about 3 pax with 24inch luggages. Rooms are clean and neat. Toilet bowl has a heating element that warms the seat. So it is very comfortable during winter.Pillow is a bit hard but still comfortable. ||||Although the hotel still uses the traditional keys to the rooms but it is functional. Overall, a very pleasant stay. I would return to this hotel when I visit...

I chose this hotel merely for its location: near Shin-Osaka Station. The reason is my flights arrived in and departed from Kansai International Airport. The express train (Haruka) from Kansai Airport does not stop at Umeda/Osaka station but at Shin-Osaka Station. I therefore prefer to stay near Shin-Osaka Station so that it will be easier for me to carry my luggage between the hotel and the train. The hotel is within a short walking distance from the East Exit of Shin-Osaka Station where there is an elevator. If you do not have too many suitcases, it will not be inconvenient. |As it is in the area of the Shin-Osaka Station, it is much quieter than Umeda/Osaka. Including those inside the shopping mall complex of the Shin-Osaka Station, there are some restaurants. It is in any case easy to go to Umeda on the subway.|Regarding the hotel, one matter definitely needs improvement. The water temperature in the shower was very unstable. Even after you thought you have set a right temperature, the water could suddenly turn hotter or colder. When it turned hotter and I tried to add a little bit of cold water, it became very cold. I then tried to add a little bit of hot water, it then became very hot. The hotel management needs to look into this issue. A hotel guest may catch a cold because of this.|Finally, a minor matter: while this hotel, like other Japanese hotels, provides slippers, toothbrush and razor, it does not...

A quiet hotel next to Shin Osaka Station approximately a 5 minutes walk away. Great location, very quiet and not too far from a Lawson and restaurants near by. Room was clean, spacious and modern. Tv you could connect your netflix account if that’s useful for you. Comfortable bed although it was on wheels. Laundry was never an issue, it was always quiet so made for a pleasant experience. If you don’t have change you can get it from reception or there is a drinks vending machine inside. I liked having a separate washer and dryer to protect delicate or printed clothing. Breakfast was simple; fruits, breads, selection of Japanese cuisines and refreshments. Again, very quiet and run efficiently. Lobby is spacious and in the main building you can store your luggage, for more sensitive items they also have a locker. We left all 5 of our cases and had no issue exploring on our last day. Great for access to Universal Studios, shrines near by and Shinkansen access. We stayed in the main building on level 5. Would stay here again.

This wonderful hotel is in a great position for travelling on the Shinkansen and for getting around Osaka (see arrival tip at end of this review). The hotel area is surprisingly quiet for such a busy city, making for a very comfortable stay. The decor is minimalist and very pleasing, and the rooms are very comfortable and beautiful to look at. There is a desk for working, coffee and tea making facilities in the room and all the amenities you need. The bathroom is just as lovely as the room. The breakfast set was excellent and plentiful. The staff here are amazing, and very helpful. This will be my first place of choice when I come to this city now. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Totally excellent!! Arrival tip: if you are coming from Shin-Osaka station with luggage, leave by the East Exit. There is an elevator for luggage. If you use a map app in the station, it might show you a slighter shorter way, but it may involve a pedestrian bridge with lots of steps which may make carrying luggage challenging.
