We stayed at Universal Bay Condominium for 5 nights. Out of our surprise, the unit that we stayed in was spacious. The unit comes with 3 bedrooms so all 6 adults got our own space to rest and sleep. The rooms aren’t small too, each of them has enough space for us to open up our luggage and still have space to walk comfortably. But there is only one wardrobe in the master bedroom for us to hang our jackets (since it was winter in January when we travelled). It looks a bit dated at first but it felt more comfortable after settling down.
The train station (Osakako, on Chuo line/green line) is only about 3 minutes walk from the condominium and there is a 7-11, Lawson and family mart near the station. If you explore further down the street, on the way to Kaiyukan, there is a Sukiya (chain Japanese restaurant), a few local Japanese restaurants, a modern looking café and a supermarket where you can shop for fresh food to cook simple meals at the condominium.
The condominium doesn’t come with a 2-in-1 washing machine. So if you are considering to wash and dry your cloths during your stay, you might need to dry them on the balcony. Since we were there during winter, it was kind of difficult to dry our cloths on the balcony.
The receptionists are very helpful as they can speak proper English, some even speak Mandarin and Korean. There was this one guy that heard us speaking Cantonese and he started conversing in Cantonese with us. Board games and other home gadgets are available for free rental, and you just need to ask for permission at the reception.
For those that are going to stay during winter, be prepared to be blown with strong winds, as the area where the condominium is located is near the sea and port. There were times where it was so difficult for us to walk from the condominium to the train station because of the strong and extremely cold wind. By the way, my family and I are from Malaysia and we definitely were not used to cold and windy weather like this.
Overall, it was a great stay and I will definitely recommend it to people that are...
Read moreThe previous reviewer has already said most of what I would write about this accommodation.||It is excellent value for money for a family when compared to the cost of hotel rooms. It also gives the opportunity to spend time together in the evenings if you wish, catching up on each other's activities during the day.||I especially liked:||Separate toilet and bathroom.||Washing machine and washing liquids provided.||Hairdryer||Big sitting room and room to spread out.||Efficient air con||Perfect clothes drying conditions in the enclosed balcony.||Convenient to Osakako metro station (green line Chua)||Great views of the working harbour||Very secure entrance to the apartment||Near to Ferris Wheel||Loads of supermarkets near by||Don't miss Borden coffee cafe if you like great coffee||Pharmacy nearby next to the yellow building opposite Borden's||Although check out is at 11.00 there are lockers that you can use a Osakako station that easily fit big suitcases and costs about 800 yen per locker. Very easy to operate and handy if your flight is late that evening and you don't wish to spend the day at the airport.||||||Didn't like:||Difficulty checking in on the tablets (luckily one of our group somehow worked it out but it needs to be made much more simple and preferably with staff available to help up to a reasonable hour. Not great to be struggling with the instructions late in the evening having travelled for nearly 20 hours.||||Strangely hard pillows. If I were to stay here again I would bring my own.||||But overall this is a great value for money apartment especially for a group, located in a quiet neighbourhood, with fantastic metro links from Osakako...

Our family had an amazing stay at Universal Bay Condominium, and this place truly added sweet memories to our trip to Osaka!
Spacious & Comfortable The room was much bigger than we expected, making our stay incredibly comfortable. We instantly felt at home, and the kids absolutely loved the space!
Fantastic Location The location is superb—just a 5-minute walk to Osakako Station. But the best part? Three convenience stores—Family Mart, Lawson, and 7-Eleven—are right there! My kids were overjoyed, and honestly, so were we!
Hassle-Free & Relaxing Checking in and out was smooth, and moving around was so easy. The neighborhood is peaceful, offering a stunning view of Tempozan Ferris Wheel. Since it’s not too crowded, my little girl could walk at her own pace, making it a truly relaxing experience.
Fully Equipped for a Comfortable Stay Having the ability to cook, clean, and do our laundry was a huge plus. The place is well-equipped with air conditioners (heaters) in every room, ensuring we had a cozy and restful sleep after a long day of exploring.
A Stay to Remember! Staying here made our Osaka trip even more special. It was more than just accommodation—it became part of our cherished memories. We would definitely...
