You dont go to Sapporo and not try the Hokkaido specialty of miso ramen. So I did what any good tourist would do and went to the famous ramen alley. I'm not going to lie, I saw a line and stood in it with no preconceived notions because I literally had no idea what this place was called until I was close enough to see the name almost 30 minutes later. A quick Google search revealed this was a famous ramen joint and the reviews were all stellar (insert skepticism).
So of course, I waited 2 hours in the middle of winter for this bowl of ramen and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. The restaurant seats 8 people and all the cooking is done by 1 man. While you wait in line the sole other worker will hand out cards with a qr code which leads to an online menu. You can pre-order your food and drinks so when you walk in he already knows what to make for you. Unless you come 30 minutes to an hour before they open, you are waiting in line. When I arrived there were only 15 people in front of me and by the time there were 7, the line behind me was nearly to the end of the block.
I ordered the miso garlic ramen with egg, leeks and corn. I ordered a large portion and was unprepared for just how big it was, fortunately waiting in the cold works up an appetite. My ramen was amazing and every person in the restaurant with me all said theirs was delicious. I have never been to such a quite place, the only sounds were him cooking and us slurping up noodles and broth, it was great.
This is not a vegetarian/vegan place to eat. They have 1 option but you would really be missing out on the experience and flavors the chef creates. They offer almost every payment method I've ever heard of including the big ones, visa, mastercard and wepay.
With an alcoholic beverage and my soup my bill was ¥2100, so not only was the ramen some of the best I've ever had but also affordable. The chef is super nice and a true craftsman who clearly loves what he does.
I will come back here and wait hours everytime to have more...
Read moreI recently visited this ramen shop, and despite a bit of a wait in line (always a good sign!), I finally got to try their ramen with corn. Right off the bat, I have to commend the staff. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the whole experience pleasant. Even though the place is on the smaller side, the atmosphere was still quite enjoyable and cozy. When my ramen arrived, I was impressed by the portion size – it was definitely generous! However, the noodles were a bit of a letdown for my personal preference. They were quite thick, almost venturing into udon territory, maybe just a touch smaller. I tend to prefer thinner ramen noodles. The broth itself was on the saltier side. While it wasn't my ideal level of saltiness, I still managed to finish the entire bowl, partly because I had waited in line and was determined to try it! It's worth noting that they do offer a milder version, which I might consider next time. Despite the noodle thickness and saltiness, the overall experience was still positive, largely thanks to the wonderful staff and the welcoming atmosphere. A nice bonus was the free water available, and I appreciated the little touch of offering candy as you finish your meal. Overall: This ramen shop offers a big portion with friendly service and a cozy ambiance. While the thick noodles and salty broth weren't my absolute favorites, I still enjoyed the experience enough to consider returning and trying the milder option. If you prefer thinner noodles, this might not be your top choice, but the positive aspects definitely make it worth a visit, especially if you appreciate...

The location is within the heart of Suskino and you will not miss it because among the ramen joints you will find in the Ramen Alley, they have the longest line indeed. We waited about 45min. We were assisted by the only assistant of the chef, yes they only have 2 staff but the quality of their service, topnotch!
We had their bestsellers, their Salt Ramen with Kelp and Scallops, the Miso Cheese ramen, and their version of gyoza. Large bowls for each with extra roasted pork toppings, still fair for the price.
The gyoza was okay.
The star of the meal was THE SALT RAMEN WITH KELP AND SCALLOPS, yes ALL CAPS. The broth was a taste of heaven, you will want for more! We were eating large bowls and we finished everything. The broth was silky smooth, and that slimy texture from the kelp made it extra special. The ramen noodles, scallops and roasted pork, cooked to perfection. We can eat this for a long time. Perfect taste indeed. (We are ramen lovers). The ingredients were harmonious in a large bowl of love. 🤍
The second ramen that we had, the Miso Cheese Ramen. We had the hot spicy version so if you’re not into spicy try the other versions. The hotness from the spices were sustained throughout the meal. The cheese melted and mixed well with the noodles. If you love cheese like me, you have to try this!
We paired our meal with cold Asahi beer 🍺 and a sake, the beer though was a better option.
Do visit them! Must visit ramen...
