It is the best capsule hotel I have ever experienced. There are two rooms, one is cool, another warm, with different temperature settings. Each room is very spacious.
The capsule itself is kind of standard sized, but with a locker, a foldable "table", a TV (with earphone attached), two power outlets, two kinds of lights, one of them is adjustable, and enough space for cellphone and other small items.
The bath house on the third floor is amazing, with indoor and outdoor bathtub. The sauna room is free (traditional bathhouses 銭湯 usually charge a small additional fee). There are lots of manga books everywhere, you can take 5 to your capsule, but don't forget to return them to the bookshelf.
The public spaces on the third and second floor are furnished with microwave ovens, plates and necessary cutlery, and vending machines of course.
Staffs are very helpful. One who checked me in literally helped me go through all the steps, and accompanied me to my capsule. If you are waiting in line at the front desk for small things, like returning the lock key, someone will always come to you.
Additionally, it is located in the business street, you could find many interesting shops in walking distance, and close to Sendai JR station and...

I had a premium regular bed, but nothing felt premium about it, even considering this is a capsule hotel. The bed's matrass was hard and uncomfortable, with very thin matrasses (which were supposed to be some special type. The accomodation had barely any space to store your luggage near the bed, so i had to keep it in the capsule room. There was an option to leave it in the care of the facility for a 100 yen fee, but that'd beat the purpose of having access to it.
The Man-made onsen was decent, and the mid-city open-air bath was a fun experience, but it was on par with your average Bathhouse: a Sauna and a couple of baths.
A positive part was the large selection of manga, though you'd need to be able to read Japanese in order to make use of it.
All in all not a place I would return to unless i was stranded and...
Read moreI made a reservation for this Capsule Hotel via Agoda, but the name of the hotel is "Capsule Hotel Topos Sendai Station", so this caused problems. First, I could not find the hotel via GGmap by the name "Capsule Hotel Topos Sendai Station". Second, I used the address that was given by the Booking confirmation and got to that address but the hotel does not have any banner or sign with Latin letter, all in Japanese, and from out side of the main door, it totally does not look like a hotel or hostel (see latest pics I've just taken), so I was really confused. Finally, I asked a Japanes girl for help and fortunately, like most Japanese poeple, she enthusiastically took me inside the address and confirmed with me that was place I was searching for (of course she spoke to the receptionists by Japanese)! Other things: cleanliness, friendly-staff, location...are okay but do not book this hotel if you're...
