Famy Inn Kinshicho — Hotel in Tokyo

This was a terribly bad experience with accommodation, and it completely disrupted my plans and accommodation arrangements. I will definitely not choose this hotel again.

In April 2023, I stayed near Kinshicho and found it convenient, so I decided to book accommodation for the 2024 Chinese New Year holiday on July 2, 2023, for February 7-8, 2024. On the day of check-in, the front desk staff informed me that my room was a smoking room. I was completely shocked as I remember specifying my preference, but it seems the hotel staff did not pay attention to Agoda's accommodation requests. I immediately asked them to confirm if other days were also smoking rooms. The result was that all three of my bookings were smoking rooms. I asked them to change it. I thought I could endure one night of smoke, but when I returned to my room to drop off my luggage, the second shock was that there was no bathroom. I confirmed with the front desk staff again, and when the staff showed me the room type information in Japanese, I learned that all three of my bookings were single "male-only" rooms with shared bathrooms.

The description on Agoda and the room photos clearly indicate a different room type labeled as type B on the official website. It did not specify whether it was a smoking or non-smoking room, shared bathroom, or the communal bath, which was actually the bathroom for single rooms. If the room description had been as clear as the website and hotel order information, I would not have chosen it. What's worse, if a woman had chosen this "single room," it would have been a terrible situation.

The cost of this booking was not cheaper than other hotels, and I chose this hotel only because of my itinerary. However, I neglected to check and verify these booking details myself, which I have done many times during my travels. I did not suspect that these issues were reasonable loopholes.

This was a very bad opportunity for education, but I will definitely not choose this...

Location is really good. It takes only 1 min from Kinshicho station.||Around Kinshicho station, there are lots of shopping place(department store,restaurant, convenience store, big Electronics department "Yodobashi-camera" etc... ), SO I could buy which I forgot to bring! Quite useful place!|| The room is really normal style for business. Its simple style, compact size, and quite clean.||For breakfast , some bread and coffee by free. Inside room was dried, so I asked front to borrow humidifier.
