Hotel Garden Otsuka — Hotel in Tokyo

Location was easy to navigate but this is in an older part of Tokyo if this is your first time I wouldn’t recommend staying in this area. The bed was comfy but the room doesn’t look like the pictures aesthetically also the bathroom is absolutely tiny. I ended up cancelling my stay the next day and booking a hotel because I had to brush my teeth outside of the bathroom it was that small it was even uncomfortable to use the toilet because of the limited space this isn’t really suitable unless you don’t mind being squashed. I asked for a partial refund from the host and offered them the cost of two nights stay and them to return the rest which they refused which is just terrible service. The WiFi did not work either on my phone or the tv so I couldn’t even watch anything or use my phone there!! Luckily airbnb refunded me but honestly the host is very unhelpful and the room and services advertised are untrue I don’t recommend staying...

The only good thing about this place was the location. The appartement we stayed in was ridiculously small. The room smelled terribly. We kept the balcony door open at all times, but the smell did not leave. This is more of an Airbnb than a hotel. The worst were the sheets. I had to change the sheets because the ones on were dirty and smelly. This place needs serious renovation and modernization, quite disappointing. Do not expect your towels to be changed, we had to stay there for 4 nights as we were ending our trip but this place made it difficult to ease into the last stretch in Tokyo. The bathroom is ridiculous : I am 5’6 and I’m fit but I had a very hard time showering and feeling comfortable/ no bidet. The shower curtain needed to be changed: black moldy...

I was really looking forward to my stay. The setup of the apartment was great with its private laundry, bathroom and bedroom. Unfortunately it was not clean. The bathroom was covered in long hairs when I got there, then later on I noticed mold throughout the walls, ceiling and shower curtain. Additionally, I couldn't get to sleep due to coughing a lot, I investigated the aircon and saw the inside coated with dust, the filters may have been rinsed before but the interior of air-conditioning unit looks like it hasn't been washed for a long time.
