My husband and I just stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in a standard double room and would happily stay here again. The room was quite small, but it was cosy and cleaned daily. We don't travel with too much luggage and only spend evenings at hotels anyway, so the lack of space was not a problem for us. The bed was comfortable and long enough for taller people (I'm 5,11") and there are loan pyjamas in the room if needed. The water pressure in the shower is amazing and we made a note of the brand of shampoo/conditioner provided as our hair has never looked so nice! There is a Family Mart on the corner of the street which we used to stock up on water and snacks. The room has a small fridge, microwave and kettle, and it is also possible to get pizza delivered here from a particular company (although we didn't try this). There are communal laundry facilities and a vending machine (hot and cold drinks) downstairs. The hotel is next to a 6 carriageway main road with a flyover, so there is some white noise from the traffic but this wasn't loud enough to disturb our sleep. The hotel is in a great location, within comfortable walking distance (for us, anyway!) of Ochanomizu, Akihabara, Ginza, The Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Ueno. There are also subway/train stations nearby if you want to go further afield. The staff are very friendly and professional and speak English well. It was also possible for us to have our Ghibli tickets and JR Pass Exchange vouchers delivered to the hotel prior to our arrival. We found the hotel offered more than we expected for the price and we would highly...
Read moreI stayed here with my parents, brother and sister-in-law (three separate rooms). There was so confusion about booking a smoking room (I wanted non-smoking) using Google Translate, we were able to get it resolved. While quite compact, the rooms are well situated to use the limited space well. I was not sharing the bed, so it didn't matter that you can only access it from one side, but my mom found that pretty inconvenient since "her side of the bed" was by the wall.
The bathroom was small, and had a step up from the room. At the end of my 13 day trip to Japan, it also had the first shower curtain I'd seen in any of our lodging.
The Kanda station is within walking distance, and there are a number of other train lines you can access withing a 10-15 minute walking radius. One day we walked over to the Imperial Palace area, another we took the train.
There are also many places to eat nearby and a convenience store right next door where we picked up some breakfast before heading out to explore.
It was very helpful to have them store luggage for the day so we could explore without it before our flight out from Haneda Airport. And on the day we checked in, they took our luggage we left in the lobby up to our...
Read moreWe spent 15 nights in Japan in 5 different locations and this one was easily the best! Barely 5 minutes away from Kanda station, right between Tokyo station (where you can find every JR and Shinkansen line, and even a Pokémon store) and Akihabara. You can be anywhere in Tokyo within half an hour from your hotel, you know how big Tokyo is? You have 2 conbinis right at the foot of the hotel, you have elevators and the rooms are super clean, no funny smells. You get pyjamas in your room and everything works as it should. The rooms are small and specially the bathrooms, but that is what you can expect in the middle of Tokyo! You'll find amenities in reception and also tourist guides in different languages. Behind reception there are restrooms, microwaves (free), a water/ice machine (free), washing/drying machines (pay to use), and even a beverage vending machine. The place has all you need, in an extremely convenient location, for a crushing price. If you reserve your room only for 1 person you'll have to pay a tax of 300 Yen, which is peanuts, but if the room is for 2 you won't have to pay anything extra. Definitely would recommend and we are likely to stay here again next time...
