This is not our first MONday premium apart experience in the many times we have come to Tokyo, but this is by far our worst experience.
It is very conveniently located in the high-end downtown business district surrounding Tokyo station with lots of little shops and eateries that you can walk to. But don’t let the location be your most important consideration vs a good night’s rest because we find that once you are settled into a hotel in Tokyo and can use the subway to get around, then the location of the hotel becomes a secondary issue especially if you are not needing to be at any specific location - like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara (which incidentally are only a train ride away from any part of the city).
This hotel is located within a 3 min walk to the Shin Nihonbashi station on the JO line which is 1 stop away from Tokyo station.
Conveniently located near many restaurants, convenience stores and a short walking distance to 3 subway lines (JO, Ginza, Hanzoman lines).
For security, the hotel lift is made operational only by a secure pin. We appreciated how quiet the neighbourhood became at night.
Laundry is a washer dryer combo and worked well. Separate bathroom from shower was a nice layout. The bathroom is separated from laundry so both can be used at the same time. Bathroom features a tub so great for those wishing to soak or for bathing little kids.
Featuring a small kitchenette with all utensils, dishes, cups, glasses including a small cook top and a microwave and kettle - all the essentials.
King bed was actually 2 doubles and our older kids had the bunk beds. The room was a abit small in size with well used carpet but clean throughout. There is a small table that we had to move out of the way in order to get around the room. Alittle inconvenient and we ended sitting on our beds a lot - but we didn’t spend a lot of time in our rooms so it was ok. It was uncomfortable not to have a place to sit for all 4 people.
They provided us the tiniest and thinnest pillow and not great for side sleepers; ended up putting towels under the pillow to bulk it up but not comfortable.
The towels provided transferred lint everywhere like static cling. Lint in your hair, face, everywhere - super annoying and probably a function of low quality towels.
In the 2 weeks we were here, room was only serviced once… we had to ask for additional toilet supplies, laundry soaps and fresh towels on numerous occasions since the rooms were not checked so not topped up. While the reception staff were excellent and provided these items upon request, it’s not something we should need to ask on such a frequent basis and is the result of a lack of room service.
While the location is good, we would not recommend this hotel. If you need an apartment type accommodation similar to this, read my review on the Daimon MONday...

The cleanliness of this hotel is unparalleled; it’s one of the cleanest I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms are spacious but thoughtfully designed, providing a sense of home with a dining area, microwave, mini oven, and washing/drying machine. These conveniences made our stay much more comfortable, especially for extended stays.
The little details and the abundance of amenities truly set this hotel apart. Complimentary toiletries, slippers, toothbrushes, combs, and light bathrobes show the hotel’s commitment to guest comfort. The modern touch of keypad-activated elevators and room locks, free HDMI cables, extra pillows, duvets, switches, and Bluetooth speakers made us feel like every need was anticipated and met with care.
The hotel’s location is a perfect balance – a tranquil retreat amidst the vibrant city. The nearby subway station and plethora of restaurants offer a variety of choices, making it a breeze to explore and enjoy Tokyo. Our suite, complete with a kitchenette and washer/dryer, was a haven of space and convenience, a true gem in a bustling city, providing a sense of comfort and ease.
One aspect that particularly stood out was the staff's warm, kind, and courteous demeanor. Their genuine hospitality made us feel not just welcomed, but truly valued, adding a personal touch to our stay. Despite the housekeeping service being every three days from the fourth day, the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel were never compromised, making us feel cared for.
The environment here is nothing short of amazing. Everything is perfectly maintained, and the ability to borrow additional amenities at no extra charge makes this hotel a perfect choice for families and friends traveling together. The washer and dryer were invaluable to us, especially during our five-day stay.
Reflecting on our experience, I am filled with gratitude for the memories created at this hotel. It was more than just a place to stay; it was a sanctuary that offered not just comfort and convenience, but a sense of security and a touch of home in a foreign city. My heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff who made our stay so special.
In a city as vibrant as Tokyo, finding a place that feels like home is rare and precious. MONday Apart Premium Nihonbashi is just that – a home away from home. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and wonderfully convenient stay in Tokyo. Thank you for making our experience so memorable. We look forward to...
Read moreGrand Japanese Room with large windows is good size for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Able to open 1 large and 3 hand carry suitcases fully and still have adequate walking space. The bath/shower room is spacious by Tokyo standard and separate from the toilet. Bring your own (or buy from pharmacy) shampoo and conditioner if you are fussy. While there are enough beddings for 5 or even 6 pax, space would be quite tight. For tatami beds, need to diy from foldable mattresses and sheets. Pillows are rather flat but can request for more. Power sockets are close to beds and dining table. Kitchen equipment is sufficient to prepare and enjoy simple meals with drinks but has limited space to dry items after cleaning. Need to buy your own fats and seasoning. Plenty of towels in our room for our 8N stay and room was cleaned, beds made and sheets changed on the 7th day. Room was clean when we checked in except a narrow strip of space between wooden bed and wall which was dusty. Put sorted trash outside room daily before noon and they were cleared. Wifi was stable, able to support multiple devices and run 2 zoom sessions concurrently. Air conditioning was strong and could be remotely controlled. Staff were friendly and responded promptly.
Hotel location is close to various JR and subway lines and a pleasant walk to Tokyo Station and Ginza areas, can even jog to/around Imperial Palace. Another pleasant walk is to the Ningyocho / Suitengumae areas which have many eateries. Family Mart and a mini supermarket which opens till late are round the corner. Plenty of food options and convenience stores near Kanda station. Mitsukoshi main store and some popular restaurants / shrine are also steps away. If you want a sumptuous breakfast and great views, consider Mandarin Oriental hotel.
Unfortunately, the laundry washer/dryer in our room was not effective. Apparels worn for jogging smelt stale after washing, despite washing in
