I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hotel Mumbai Kitchen in Tokyo, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This Indian restaurant serves some of the most delicious Indian cuisine I’ve ever tasted. The highlight of my meal was the Biryani—it was hands down the best I've ever had, perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection.
The ambience of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The decor reflects the rich cultural heritage of India, adding to the overall experience.
What truly sets Hotel Mumbai Kitchen apart is the staff. They are incredibly humble and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. Their service added a personal touch to the dining experience, making it even more memorable.

Read moreBuffet was disappointing. Service was average, not particularly bad but servers were a bit rude and it felt like they were rushing me out. I understand it was a busy lunch time on a Saturday but they didn't have to behave that way. I'm going to assume they prioritize the regulars who go there.
I should have gone with the alacarte menu, which looked good on the photos and from the food I see the customers were having. The buffet selection was volume but tasted on the cheap side.
There was some kind of curried chicken, veggie curry, spinach curry with corn, curried beans or lentil combination and coconut desert balls that did not taste freshly made. My taste buds tell me that it was from the other day and was refrigerated and served again this day.
It's value for money but if I go again, it would be for the...
Read moreBeing an Indian, every other Indian in Japan will agree with me when I say it's hard to find good Indian food in Japan where we really get a taste of those traditional Indian spices and hotness. This golden week we went to have lunch at Mumbai Kitchen and tried the buffet which is currently priced at 1200¥. This was the closest to Indian tastes which I have ever experienced during my 5 month stay in Tokyo. Even though the hotness level was a bit less, the taste of spices was great and I was happy to get more than one serving of the dishes. To find the menu for the buffet check their Facebook page before any weekend since the buffet happens only during lunch hours (11 Am to 3 Pm) on Saturdays...
