The hardware of the hotel is good. The location is great for business travelers but not for tourists as it’s located in the business district of Tokyo. It’s a dead town on weekends and after office hours. ||||Let’s now talk about the software. There’s no human touch or hospitality for this hotel. I arrived early at the hotel, I am willing to pay for early check in even at the rate of one night prior. But the Front Desk told me the room type that I wanted is only available at 12 noon even if I were to pay for early check in. I arrived at 8am, tired and was on a flight for 12 hours. I asked if they can offer me any options, he became unscrupulous and told me he has a room grade higher than what I booked for and that if I will like to take the room, I will not only have to pay for early check in but also to top up for the nights for the rest of my stay! I was so tired and incoherent, I agreed to it as rest and sleep was my priority. I went and informed the front desk later that day, no one had gotten back to me on this. The business model is not very Japanese style. ||||Breakfast, I understand breakfast service ends at 9:30am, I skipped the second day breakfast as I was late. On day 3, I was down at 9:38am, the buffet line was still open with plenty of good left. I discovered that my breakfast tickets were missing (yes, Japan is so advance that they still use paper tickets for breakfast and this hotel is supposed to support sustainability and green initiatives). I asked the front desk for help, it took the receptionist some time to issue me with the tickets. I asked if I can just grab something real quick before he can issue me with the ticket, he told me breakfast ends at 9:30am and he had the audacity to show me the piece of paper that indicate that while there were still food left at the buffet line and people were still eating in the restaurant. Hence, the experience so far at this hotel is bad, really bad! Front Desk hospitality is zero to non. Management, is there even a management team? Will I recommend this hotel? Definitely no no. I will rather pay a bit more to get the hospitality and flexibility of a better chain hotel. They say to support local business and eventually you get bitten and ripped off while trying to do that....

Mitsui Garden Hotel Otemachi provides an exceptional hospitality experience that marries modern comfort with Japanese elegance. Every aspect of my stay was outstanding, and it's the attention to detail that sets this hotel apart, earning it a well-deserved five-star rating.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the amazing staff, who were not just professional, but also genuinely friendly and helpful. Their warmth and dedication added a personal touch to the entire experience, making me feel at home away from home.
The room was a haven of comfort and tranquillity. It was cool and airy, thanks to the efficient air conditioning – a blessing in Tokyo's warm months. The bed was comfy, and the shower was a dream, with just the right water pressure to wash away a day's fatigue.
An unexpected delight was the light fragrance that wafted through the room. It was subtle yet refreshing, creating a serene ambience. Thoughtful amenities like complimentary water, hand sanitiser, and a toothbrush and paste set were also provided, underscoring the hotel's commitment to guest comfort.
The breakfast was an exciting culinary adventure. Despite it being a bit unconventional for some tastes, I found it delicious. The variety of dishes – from sausages and curries to fruits, pastries, and a divine bread and butter pudding – ensured that there was something for everyone. The coffee was also excellent, providing a perfect kick-start to the day.
Adding to the hotel's charm were the beautiful flowers in the lobby – a simple yet elegant touch that reflected the hotel's attention to aesthetics.
In summary, my one-night stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Otemachi was an absolute pleasure. With its attentive staff, comfortable accommodations, and delightful breakfast, it has set a high bar for hospitality. I would highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreLocation of the hotel is good if you are on business and your office is within the Otemachi area! But Front Desk service is not hospitable, there’s no sense of customer service at all. I arrived early and is willing to pay for early check in, they have rooms available but not the ones that I had paid for. They told me to wait until noon for the early check in. I was at the hotel at 8:30am. So I asked them if I can pay for the early check in for the room that is available. The front desk agent told me if I was to do that, I will need to pay for it for the rest of my stay. I was so tired and pissed that I have no choice but to pay for it. He assigned me with the worst room in the house! Next come breakfast, my room came with breakfast. On the second day, I went down for breakfast at 9:38am, the buffet line was still open, I discovered that i don’t have the coupons (and this is a hotel that supposedly have all green initiatives and and sustainability program but still use paper coupons for breakfast), I went to the front desk to request for a new set of coupons. The agent took a long time to check, I told him can I just go ahead and grab some breakfast (still tons of food available), he told me breakfast buffet closes at 9:30am while showing me a printed information on A4 size paper.
I lodged a complaint to the front desk, no managers or management had gotten back to me so far!
Service and hospitality is non existent in this hotel.
I am even more surprised they are a chain hotel. I guess that’s why they are not well known internationally.
Staying at the hotel causes nothing but stress and anxiety on me. Not good for people who value their...
