Disclaimer: This review is applicable only to my Indian brothers & their sisters!||||Japan is a very close, cut-off community. They are busy in their own work and never mind about what world is saying about them.||||As a hotel, Presso inn is a decent hotel. ||||For Indians, who are used to larger than life hotel rooms in India, please keep your Indian expectations far away. Most of the Japanese hotels are meant for business use. So the rooms of this hotel too are very compact, but though decently decorated.||||If you are okay with non-vegetarian food , you are blessed. Or else this hotel's morning breakfast is not for you. And, very unfortunately, the staff doesnt even understand basic english like Salt, Pepper, Chilli powder. English conversation is a serious problem in Japan outside the offices. Please carry some food from India which could be easily consumed. Mind you, "easily consumed" & 'not prepared'. The hotel will not provide any facilities like microwave, hot milk, vegetarian food requests, etc. Alternatively, if you like to travel light, be prepared to spend in the convenience stores, which have large variety to offer (including microwave facility!!).||||No swimming pool, no gymnasium or business center, though the Wifi is very good (4G maybe).||||Other good things about Presso Inn is its connectivity.||Its close to Tokyo Metro Station/Kanda Station/Shin-nihombashi Station/Mitsukoshimae Station.||As it is already in the business district, your invitee's office should be very close from this hotel.||||Over all a decent place to...
Read moreI decided to visit Tokyo at quite a late stage for I wanted to ensure it would be the cherry blossoms' peak bloom week but then most hotels were fully booked while the rest was asking for a premium price. I considered myself lucky when I managed to find room in this hotel without needing to pay a peak season rate. Given that I have previously stayed in the Keio Presso Inn Yaesu, I do have trust in the Keio Presso brand. ||While the hotel is located somewhere between the Tokyo and Kanda JR stations, it is also very close to the Mitsukoshimae metro station. And the "cherry blossom avenue" (next to the historical buildings like the Mitsui Main Building) will be illuminated in soft pink light.||It is a typical business hotel, and I got a single room with quite a nice view. Though the room is small, for the price I was paying with complementary breakfast included, I would say it's excellent...
Read moreThis hotel is located in the centre of Tokyo, within a few minutes walk from Tokyo Station, which is one of the reasons why we chose it. We stayed bed and breakfast, the rooms are smallish especially the bathroom, but it's the standard for Japan as we later discovered.|The room was clean but housekeeping not done in the 3 days we stayed, apparently the rooms are cleaned every 4 days although the towels were changed daily.|Breakfast was buffet style with a broad range of cuisines from Japanese to continental and plentiful. Staff were courteous and attentive. Reception was somewhat strange with a human helping us check in via a machine! And the same process on checking out. |There is an onsite launderette which we used as it was pretty cheap an easy.|Sleep quality was average for the location (on a main crossroads and overlooking railway lines). |Overall we'd...
