Matsuo House — Hotel in Yamagata

I stayed for four nights here and absolute perfect experience. The house owners are a family with a kid. And can communicate with Cantonese, Chinese, English, Japanese and even Thai. They are very friendly and introduced the ski resort with nearby onsen. The room is clean and large enough for 2-3 ppl. Although the house don’t have the onsen,it only need 1 mins walk to a free public onsen. Lawson and central rope way is 5-10 mins walk. The Matsuo House is truly a special place. I had an unforgettable experience with Oraphin, Taka, and their adorable daughter Yui! I was very fortunate to spend Christmas with them. We shared stories and laughed all night while drinking plum wine. They made me feel as if I was right at home. They are also super thoughtful and will help you with anything if you simply ask.
