Subject: Feedback on Our Stay at Ramada Almaty (10th November - 15th November)||Dear Director,||I am writing to share feedback regarding our recent stay at Ramada Almaty from the 10th to the 15th of November. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations, and I believe it is important to bring these issues to your attention.| 1. Airport Pickup Issue:|We had confirmed our airport pickup via email with ABY, but upon arrival at 12:45 AM, no one was present to pick us up. After searching and waiting for some time, we contacted the hotel reception. The lady who answered was unhelpful and advised us to check with the agency ourselves. Despite multiple calls, we received no resolution and were ultimately forced to hire two taxis at a significantly higher cost. We reported this issue to Mr. George at the reception, but no satisfactory explanation or action was provided.| 2. Room Service and General Stay:|During our stay, the room service did not meet our expectations. We faced delays and found the overall service quality below standard.| 3. Late Check-Out Incident:|On the final day, we requested a late check-out as our flight was scheduled for late at night. Mr. George offered a room extension until 10 PM for 61 USD. When I attempted to pay using my forex card, it was declined, so I immediately paid the amount in cash. However, when I asked for assistance in transferring our luggage to the room, Mr. George refused rudely and asked us to do it ourselves. Frustrated, I returned the room key and requested a refund, which he processed.|Subsequently, I discovered that 61 USD had still been deducted from my forex card, as evidenced by the confirmation email I received. Despite forwarding this email to Mr. George, the issue remains unresolved, and no refund has been issued.||We are deeply disappointed with the overall experience, from the poor coordination at the airport to the unprofessional behavior of staff and the unresolved payment issue.||I hope you will investigate this matter and address our concerns. We look forward to your response and a resolution, particularly regarding the refund of the 61 USD that was wrongly charged.||Thank you for your...
Read moreLocation is good, reception staff is good. INZHU was the girl who did our check in process, she was very helpful and is beautiful girl with good nature.
But Rooms are shabby and you will feel old vibes. There is no bellhop, we had to take our luggage by our own, no one would help you in that.
The landline phones in the room, was not working even we booked suite room. rooms are spacious but not that good as per the prize.
you will find mostly Indians there but in breakfast, there was one or two option for vegetarians and the available option was bad in taste so we only preferred to have toast and coffee. fruits were also not that fresh. If they know that their most of the guests are Indians then they should appoint an Indian chef who can make good vegetarian breakfast.
There is some dress code kind of thing for breakfast, where you are not allowed to wear pajamas, shorts and slippers, its ridiculous because in breakfast guests love to go in their comfortable attire to get relax, if you will wear it then their staff will come and in rude way they will give you instructions about their dress code. if you will ask waiters to bring anything on the table, they will tell you to take it by your own. so they don't have this general etiquettes and they are unaware with how to give service to their guest. so service was very bad.
Almaty is beautiful but people are rude except some beautiful people who were exceptionally good and smiley. People of Kazakhstan don't smile even if you smile at them, you won't feel welcoming and they won't try to help you. Language is the biggest barrier, very few people can understand and speak English. we had to use translator all the time.
City is amazing, good vibes in all over the city, huge space for walk and electric scooters, lush greenery and pleasant weather. I recommend that you must visit this country. It can be more loving if people learn how to host foreigners and make them feel welcoming like we Indians do and we are...
Read moreMy stay at Ramada by Wyndham Almaty was honestly underwhelming, especially considering it’s a 4-star property. While the rooms were decently clean and the location was okay, the overall experience did not match the expectations or the price. 👎
One of the most disappointing aspects was the extra charge for guests. Even if someone just visited for a short while, the hotel insisted on charging, which felt unreasonable and very unfriendly. Hospitality should feel warm and welcoming, but here it felt more transactional and rigid.
The front desk staff were not very helpful either. There was a lack of proper communication and they seemed disinterested in making the guest experience smooth or comfortable. Wi-Fi was spotty, and the amenities felt outdated for a hotel of this standard.
Breakfast was average — nothing special, and definitely not worth the hype. For the price I paid, I expected better service and flexibility.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re expecting a true Ramada or Wyndham-level experience. There are other places in Almaty that offer better value and hospitality. Hopefully, the management improves these issues...
