InterContinental Le Vendôme — Hotel in Dar Mreisse

We reserved 3 rooms with my family. Upon check in the staff at the reception were friendly and professional. Mrs. Nathalie was also extremely professional and friendyl. To our surprise the sea view rooms do not have walk in showers (essential for older people) so we had to upgrade to a suite for that option. The rooms are always nice and spacious but it is high time to consider a complete bathrooms change, you can feel that it is becoming old and ugly. The breakfast has improved since our last visit and the host Ms. Jacqueline was very friendly and helpful as usual. 75 rooms. Elegant quiet lobby. It is set back from the road, and has a circular drive with large plants, and no large sign, so it is not easy to spot. But it is a hidden gem worth finding. The lobby is elegant with a half dozen seating areas. The corridors are beautifully decorated with padded fabric walls and marble. 2 small quick elevators. My room was sumptuous. A suite, with a foyer, a huge salon with a sofa and 4 chairs, desk and TV. There was a large king bed in the bedroom. Full bath with separate shower and tub, and a smaller one with a sink and WC. Beautiful view!

We were excited to stay here after a terrible experience at the grand hotel Beirut. We were greeted by the friendly reception who kindly let us check in early and even gave us an extra room upgrade at no cost! He was very friendly and even had wonderful suggestions as to what to do in the city. We asked for some ice to be brought up to the room and were happily surprised when they were accompanied with fresh juice as well as a plate of sandwiches!
