Are you looking for cockroaches? Black mold? Shady owners who lie and scam and offer child prostitutes to guests? No? Well you should probably look for a different hotels then. ||Le Beryte was quite honestly the worst hospitality experience in my life. ||||I don't make trip advisor reviews, the last one I made was because the hotel owner in Nepal personally took care of me when I was sick and I wanted to help him in whatever way I could. They were amazing and all I could ever ask for.||||But the flip side of the coin came to light during my stay in Beirut.||||Upon landing at 3am, we asked a taxi driver to take us to a cheap hotel (BIG MISTAKE). Rookie move for sure. Anyways we are shepherded to Le Beryte where they say it will be 150$ American for one room with two beds. I leave my cousin with the bags and go out to buy some water from a kiosk across the road. By the time I return the owner as well as the taxi driver and two cronies pressure my fatigued cousin into buying two rooms as "no two bed rooms" (complete lie as we found out.)||||Additionally during this period they asked if my younger cousin wanted a child prostitute. I wish I was making this up. Young and "fresh meat" as he put it.||||The Night manager was older and balding with slicked back grey hair and tattoos on his arms. Watch out for him.||||The room was filthy with water damage throughout the bathroom and musty gross smelling bedsheets.||||My cousin ended up sleeping in my room and bed for the one night as we were both so incredibly sketched out and on edge from the whole thing. We propped a dresser under the door handle just in case.||||It really was THAT BAD.||||If none of that phases you or you think I am making this up for some unfathomable reason, go ahead and book here! If not I hope I saved at least some travelers from dealing with even one small amount of the garbage Le Beryte is full of.||||I've stayed in bad hotels before, in mountain lodges with no heating for 100 rupees and I am an avid camper, not a Prima Donna. But a place that charges premium rates and then shakes down the patrons for trash accommodations draws my absolute anger.||||Safe travels.||||PS I will try and find some of the pictures I took of the squalor of the "four-star" rooms, they are floating around on a...
Read moreI stayed here Thursday Nov 19 for a few hours while I waited for my delayed flight. I was brought to the hotel from the airport by a taxi driver. The taxi driver recommended this hotel because this hotel was "good but not too expensive", he also was going to get me a discounted price. On arrival, the taxi driver and the guy at the reception discussed some things that I didn't understand because I don't speak the language, then I was overcharged by both the hotel and the taxi. I was not given a room key, I was not given a receipt because "the printer didn't work". The room reeked of cigarette smoke. There was what looked like pieces of food in the bathroom sink. The wifi didn't work. The guy at the reception said he would send me the receipt via email but never did. Bad experience overall, I would not stay here again nor would I recommend this place to a friend. Please send me the receipt (for my work expense report) and I'll...
Read moreAbsolutely awful. ||Moldy bathroom, no plug for the bath, wallpaper hanging off, plug sockets hanging off, only gave us 1 towel and had to ask for another, didn't replace the toilet roll, loud music played every morning before 6am, noise from the road was awful and there was no double-glazing and the balcony door was ill-fitting, no heating/air con working, handles missing from cupboards and difficult to open/close. We were here for a week, but checked out after 3 days and moved to another hotel. ||Don't stay- go to The Parisian, a short walk away, off the main road, similar price and good quality. ||Wifi was limited and...
