Worst experience.
My family and I are visiting from abroad and booked a cabana like we always do.
I called to book a cabana-$240. I was informed it is for 6 people and i am to pay the amount before arriving through Whish Money. To this i replied the lady on the phone saying: sorry i come every summer and i pay when i am at the resort. She responded: ok metl ma badik.
We got to there and had no assistance getting into our cabana other than the “trainee” who led us to it. I was there with my baby who was on a stroller and we were carrying many bags. So imagine how hard it was getting to the cabana through the steps.
The cabana had only 2 sun beds. My mom asked the waiter for an additional sun bed and he replies: “mafi”. She asks him: “where do i sit?” He replies: “sit in the salon.” Im sorry, is this attitude also paid for with the cabana? I respectfully approached the waiter and asked for at least 2 more sun beds because we paid a lot of money. He said that he will have to check if there is anything available from other cabanas. I said well we paid a lot of money and we need sun beds. He agreed (after convincing).
The jacuzzi was boiling hot. We had to ask 3 or 4 times for it to be cooler. They did come and change the temperature eventually. But guess what? The jacuzzi was filled with beach sand as if someone was there before us and it wasn’t cleaned properly. So I decided to use the bathroom. I realized that there were no towels to dry our hands so I had to improvise and I used toilet paper. When i told the waiter he said: “you can use toilet paper”. There were cigarettes and other types of dirt all over the ground. I am walking towards the sitting area again and I noticed there was a basket near the bathroom so I opened it and looked inside, which was very shocking. There were used towels and dirty cops, which I do not know where they came from.
The Jacuzzi’s water level significantly then dropped and water was praying left right and center and there was no control anymore for the water until the technicians came and fixed it. Keep in mind. No one apologized for this or explained what had happened. Fine. None of us were fussy about this. We said: it happens.
The time is around 5:00 PM. I go into the shower and I take my babies clothes off so I can wash him. I put on the water and there was nothing dropping from the shower. There was no water coming out of the shower. I thought there was some thing I was doing wrong, so I kept trying to adjust the shower options, but still water was not coming out.
Before the bill arriving, one of us lost her eyeglasses, so while searching for it, we raised the cushions from the couch, and guess what we saw. There were nuts and all types of food all over the couch This was the breaking point. $240 for an experience filled with anger disappointment disgust. An additional $189 for food...
Read moreI am giving this Resort a 1 star based on the following experiences my friends and I had there this past weekend. First off we didn't know that Eddè Sands had another smaller hotel uphill which is about two mins away from the resort so my friends and I had thought we booked at the resort and come to find out we are at their other hotel. Upon checking in the staff at the front desk were beyond unfriendly, didn't smile didn't greet us,RUDE! We explained to them that we initially booked for the resort( thru a travel agent ) because my friends just gotten married and they were newlyweds and we all were going away for their celebration at the highly recommended "Eddè Sands, when we asked to upgrade to go to the resort area, they automatically answered with "No". So we were like ok forget we will just stay at El Hotel and use the shuttle bus back and forth. When my friends, the newlyweds checked into their rooms there were no extra amenities for them for the occasion of them get getting married (hence we expressed it at the front desk as to why we wanted the resort and not an uphill location). No extra amenities no awknowldegment. Mind you I am traveling from the U.S specifically for this "well known" resort. So right now I am thinking about checking into a four seasons for better service. The next day we went down to the pool area and seen a bed rental special, rent one bed for $70 and get a bottle of rosè for free. Sounds like the perfect deal! So I rented two beds with two bottles of rosè for the newlyweds and myself as we were hanging out laughing at the poolside for a mere hour and a half a staff member walked up to us and started telling everyone that they'll be closing in an hour due to a wedding!!!! Now I'm just beyond annoyed, I told the employee that the girls that I rented the beds from should have told me about the wedding buyout before purchasing the beds for the entire DAY! I've spent over $200 for both beds, food and extra rosé just to be told that they are closing to the public because of a wedding if that was the case we wouldn't have rented beds in that area and would have went to another area! I asked for a manager and no manager was brought to us. Neither did they offer us a free bed rental in their other areas! The customer service is something they lack and proper communication is something they should work on. Traveling from the states as a person who perfects in hospitality I would never stay at this resort UNLESS they change their outlooks on how they represent themselves as a company, I frankly believe that if I stayed at the four season or in a bungalow I would have gotten better service. I would still like a manger...
