Locanda A La Granda — Restaurant in Jbeil

So, my family and friends are visiting lebanon l, not for the the first time. We have been to many places and restaurants, and everyone was great and nice to us.

After touring around the area, we decided to go to this place to have a drink, eat some appetizers and sweet dishes. When we entered the place, they didn't say any welcome greetings and it felt like we are not welcomed there. We wanted to place an orders, but after knowing that we don't want to eat main dishes, he told us that he is "not interested in only serving us if we don't order main dishes". Then he told us to "leave and go somewhere not here" in front of everyone. Everyone was looking, and it was super embarrassing.

I will never bring anyone to this place ever. The way we were treated and possibly racially profiled wasn't OK. I will bring my family and friends who are coming to lebanon to better places.

Wow, i always pass by this restaurant but never dined in, and now i feel bad for all the yummi flavors i missed!! This restaurant has a really nice location and the interior design stands out for its uniqueness. We tried the chicken osmalliyeh that was super duper amazing, the chicken very nicely fried and wrapped with the osmalliyeh vermicelle, it was crunchy and had a taste mixed between sweet and savory that i absolutely loved. the marinated chicken was very good as well, they are served by piece on a mini wooden skewer with a very tasty sauce that you dip your bite into. I like the concept of the restaurant, they took normal mezze dishes and revisited them to make them a little more creative and unique. I would recommend this place, it is a bit more expensive that others in the area but it...

Needs to polish some edges. Waitress was just not listening. Food was good, actually the mezze was excellent.

But when ordering the entree, since the customer in question cannot take the broccoli we asked if it could be replaced with a thing else , to what the waitresses answered a flat no, without even consulting the cook. She didn't even admit substitution with some fries or carrots like we saw in other dishes.

Later with the wine and removing the dishes she just jumped in. With the wine we have to tell her to please stop, we would manage. And with the dishes, since one of the persons on the table said yeah, she took them all.

Location is beautiful, food is good, but they need to treat customer better, specially at this level/price...
