My policy is to book local hotels when travelling abroad. So I chose this hotel based on excellent guest reviews on a variety of portals. Another important factor was that I wanted to be in a vibrant but not elitist location. Hamra is a great district right next to the famous American University of Beirut, so the place has a nice students/young people vibe to it. ||Taxis know this hotel well so no problems finding it. The reception team without exception is OUTSTANDING. I should know as I checked in and out three times in a week as I visited Byblos and Bhamdoum too. Professional, courteous and kind, the team does an amazing job at addressing and resolving any concerns that you may have. They were considerate with my request for a quiet and non-smoking room. They also were very helpful in connecting me with the other hotels that I was visiting.||The rooms have top notch hygiene, with good amenities. I found the bed and the pillows to be comfortable. The safe in the wardrobe is a great addition. Coffee tea making in the rooms is available. My suggestion to the hotel would be to please consider placing some additional water in the room during summer and instead of the 3-in-1 coffee to also offer just coffee sachets.||Breakfast is ample with the possibility to order eggs to taste.||The Valet staff is very helpful and kind. A Gem of Hospitality El Sheikh hotel My recent stay at El Sheikh hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless, starting with the incredibly convenient valet parking. It was such a relief to simply hand over our keys and know our car was in good hands. The warm smiles and genuine hospitality we received from the valet staff set the tone for the entire stay. This was my 2nd stay at this little gem in Hamra district in Beirut, Lebanon. Hotel now is under new management. I had some trivial problems which were resolved quickly & professionally by the new manager Mr Nizar Said. Mr Nizar paid attention to every detail & took my tiny complaint seriously! He gives the clients "Service Beyond Excellence"! || Here is a full review of my experience:||Location: close to mini markets, numerous affordable restaurants, Hamra district shopping, & a few pubs...the sea is just a 15 minute walk where you can stroll, jog, or swim!||Entrance: Security greets you politely entering and exiting. Along with a smiling, free valet parking person.
