Clean, loads of seating and the wide pavement with great views out to sea make this a great place for a stroll in the sun. At the weekend there were hoards of people fishing in the water below which was great to watch and the whole length gave a nice sense of what a welcoming city it is. It’s such a shame that the water was so polluted with rubbish, especially when everywhere else is so well kept. It certainly doesn’t distract the locals though, who clearly love sunbathing on the rocks out in the water. During my visit to the city I walked it a few times, and although nothing special as such, it was one of my favourite areas.

Probably my favorite thing I did in Beirut was strolling along this beautiful stretch along the coast. You have to see it to believe it. The sea, the traditional architecture, the modern skyline, East Beirut rising on the hills hidden in the clouds in the horizon...

The Corniche, Beirut's attractive seaside promenade, brings together people from all walks of life. Joggers and casual strollers, amateur fishermen and pro swimmers, divers and floaters, the rich and the poor congregate to gawk at the sea, the glitz and each other!

If you are a dog lover I would advise you to visit this place but nevertheless it is a good place to walk and the sea view is wonderful and special especially at sunset and there is also a blind man playing the oud very beautiful tunes

Awesome place to be in, can do sports like jogging, cycling, walking, and even just glazing at the Mediterranean sea. The feeling of being at this place is undescribable..if you travel away from Lebanon, this would be the place to miss

Its a 100% Lebanese experience. Taking a walk on this boulevard is a must, especially late afternoon and during sunset. Great place for early morning jogging and some exercise. Don’t forget to have a typical corniche nescafe.
