zaatar w zeit — Restaurant in Ras Beirut

The Zaatar w Zeit Bliss branch is my favorite Beirut Branch for a quick bite... They offer a wide variety of Lebanese street food and also western foods... All dishes have a certain twist that is very specific to Zaatar w Zeit... They offer a wide variety of vegan products... A fair number of their wraps can be turned vegan by changing the bread with oat bread that is vegan and contains no dairy milk...

The Bliss branch, opens 24/7, has a fair number of tables and the crew is always very friendly and welcoming, not to mention they’re used to working under pressure since the bliss branch is always busy due to its location next to the AUB with students pulling all nighters and being hungry even very late at night...

ZWZ is not to be missed and the Bliss house would be the one I recommend if you were to eat in one branch in Beirut only... the only branch that competes with it, would have to be...

I'm not a stranger to Zaatar W Zeit outside Beirut so if you've tried it elsewhere and you like it you will not be disappointed. The place is a quick bite shop that offers thin baked pies along with a variety of salads and life dishes.

I particularly like their Boomburgers, a beef patty with lettuce pickles and tomatoes wrapped in a bun and baked whole. The flavour of sesame seeds and the locked in juices make it a specialty only served in Zaatar W Zeit - Lebanon to the best of my knowledge.

They offer many of their pies in whole wheat dough which is an additional mark. If you're watching your weight and want to stick to a low calorie count then the menu will serve yo some very reasonable choices.

The only set back I can think of is that it is a bit pricy for a pie shop but it still has to pay top rent sense it is in an expensive location. So that...

My experience with ZwZ has always been up and down. They pick up things for a while and then twirl down. My last experience at Bliss was far from ideal. Too many kids, even the waiters are not adults. There are probably teens, 2 boys and 1 girl. One of the boys eteballing hot-customer chicks and not even shying away to express "his heartache" to his colleague, enough for me to hear!

Coming to food. I ordered a kale salad and a burger. The salad was super dry, the sause was tasteless. The burger was enclosed in a BURNT Lebanese bread which ruined any taste which was barely significant.
