Palanga Life Balance SPA Hotel — Hotel in Palanga

Unfortunately, our stay was just average. Not what you would expect from a 5* hotel. At the reception no one greeted us until we did. We arrived 30 min before official check in time (2:30pm) and luckily the rooms were ready (we are grateful for an earlier check). It was my fathers birthday weekend and I really wanted to create an excellent experience by choosing a 5* hotel. But from the beginning there were issues with check in (the rooms were confused, we had to switch and my fathers room was not as nice as ours (ours was with a bath tub and lovely bed, higher floor) even though both were considered "Superior". Even though our room was nicer, it still had a cracked sink, a spider in its spiders web above the bed, not working wifi nor tv.. When we asked if someone could look into our non-working TV issue, lady at the reception explained that its normal due to excessive amount of guests. But tv and wifi in my parents room was just fine. Only great service we received from breakfast staff (exceptional - just what you would expect from a 5* hotel) and SPA receptionist, who made us feel welcome and gave all necessary advice. Breakfast food was great too. Also, hotel is in an excellent location - close to the sea, park and main street Basanaviciaus. Would we choose this hotel again or would we recommend it to our friends - that is a no. There are far better price and quality...

Spent two nights here during the weekend. Overall good experience, however there are a few details that made the price to quality ratio questionable.|First of all, bad sound isolation - if somebody is staying in a room next to you, you’ll hear everything.|The water in the shower was not going down the drain properly, therefore you had to regularly turn the water off while showering in order to not flood the bathroom.|Also, the bedding is not hypoallergenic - filled with feathers, which triggered my allergies that I didn’t even know I had. So beware if you’re allergic.|Breakfast choices are quite limited, especially if you don’t eat meat. |Also, an extra of 30€ per night for parking sounds quite ridiculous considering the price you pay for the stay.|The location is great, the design and interior is very stylish and unique. SPA area is nice, however a little weirdly organised.|To sum up, not a bad experience, however nothing special and quite a few disappointments for the price paid.|Probably would look for a different...

One of the worst and disappointing experiences. ||This hotel deserves a maximum of 3 star rating, although it is titled as one of the most luxurious hotels. The price-quality ratio is tragic.||We left before we even spent the entire time that we booked and for which we paid.||Unclean rooms, dirty sofas, chairs, carpets. Even nasal secretion were taped on the wall by the bed.||The spa area, saunas, especially the jacuzzi, is dirty, wrinkled, and tanned. Jacuzzi had unclean water.||We got food poisoning at the Hotels Restaurant (took oysters). The food is not worth the high prices, especially when it comes cold. ||Upon departure, all complaints were placed at the reception, whose employee apologized and promised that the hotel manager will contact us due to such an unpleasant experience and that the money will be refunded for the days we paid but didn’t stayed at the hotel. Unfortunately, neither a call or refund...
