I gave this hotel four stars because… Overall enjoyment of my stay (no major issues or complaints) Value for the price paid Cleanliness Courtesy of staff Responsiveness to housekeeping requests Condition of the hotel Modernity of the hotel Hotel location Breakfast spread Bathroom size I didn’t give this hotel 5 stars because… Five stars are hard to earn (four stars are still good!) Minor nuisance items: Shower head was loose, room key required reset three times despite never carrying near magnets or my wallet Hotel still using comforters that are probably not washed regularly… enough (instead of duvet/duvet covers - which are washed regularly) The gym was very small (four machines), no free weights, and didn’t open until 7 am (and a separate key from the front desk is required) Room size. Not an issue, but just was not able to tell the room would be this small from the website. Possibly my oversight. I would absolutely stay here again. Coffee setup: Standard European Nescafe instant coffee and hot water setup Tip: I booked a single room with a double bed that was absolutely big enough, but if you’re traveling with a companion, you’ll need a larger room. Validate the size of your room with the hotel before booking. Even if you’re sightseeing and just need a homebase, I would still recommend a larger room. No complaints though, just FYI.

We had unpleasant experience with the hotel. First of all, during ‘busy’ weekend there worked only one receptionist and check-in took is more than half an hour. Secondly - this is the biggest absurd - one half of our bed was totally broken. Sleeping in it was like in hammock. We called receptionist to inform about the situation expecting that the room would be changed. We got answer that “there is nothing I can do about it”. When was asked to change the room, the answer was “it is fully booked”. It was late and from the receptionist way of answering questions, understood that she won’t be able to help anyhow. It is weird that such a hotel does not have rooms for these kind of unpleasant situations as the base of staying in it is the bed. Afterwards, we were offered discount (unspecified) for the next stay, but after such experience we just asked for the refund as they failed to provide the main service. Of course, it was weekend, so we needed to contact them during working day to speak with the manager. Best they could offer was to refund expenses of the breakfast. Well a good week passed after we filled the form an still NO REFUND. Shame for such 4* hotel. P.S. room 402 Update: refund for breakfast was received after-all.

Although it's Congress, and the hotel is nice, but no progress in the kitchen.. Sadly. Salad and main course were brought together at the same time, which makes you rush more on eating it, and spend less time tasting the dish. Though there was not as much to taste. Shrimp salad - meh, the shrimps look like from the local market, small and would taste much better made at home by anyone. Desert - they offer to take the apple pie. It is a veeeery big portion,BUT does not excite you in a good way. Not to be harsh, the food is really ok, but it's not what you would expect from a place that calls itself a restaurant. No no. If it were a simple lunch place - I would never say a thing, but in this case the expectation were not even met half way. Congress - no progress.

There are two hotel congress’s. In my review, I’m referring to the newer one.

My wife and I were suddenly woken up from a deep sleep just before 11:00 pm due to a really loud fire alarm on the 4th floor, we are in room 402. We called the reception desk over 6 times with no response as no one answered. The phone line was not busy. Why is this? Because no one answered, we headed downstairs thinking there was a fire or an emergency. We then saw a reception staff member and had several questions for her. First question was “what happened?”. She then replied “Everything is fine, the alarm was fake”. Just after answering she immediately left us at the reception desk heading upstairs. We still needed services but she abandoned us. We waited 15 minutes for her to get back but she never came. We both have busy lives and have to be up really early. We lost precious time, sleep and was neglected of hotel services. We documented the event with video and photos of the incident. What are you going to do about this situation??? The front desk responded stating “we’re sorry” without offering any sort of accommodation, asking how we’re coping with the situation, or asking if there were anything that they could do to help accommodate. Also the breakfast menu never changes, same thing everyday. Occasionally they’ll switch out desserts during our 10 day stay. Had a great roof top view with private balcony access. But refrigerator didn’t work, no microwave, and staff were rarely at the front desk, also rarely answer their phones. The cleaning ladies there were among the most professional, very well attentive to detail, kind and down to earth that we’ve ever experienced. If you needed anything from them, they instantly helped without question. Definitely took care of them well with tips. To the cleaning ladies…. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we wish you and your families a happy holiday. Very good location, walking distance to...

My stay with a 4.5 month old baby was ruined on the first day to the point that on another day we had to leave the hotel and find another one. AC was not working in two rooms we were offered. Third room they offered we stayed a night and in the morning when I asked what's the situation with rooms, receptionist told me that this room is more expensive and they told us that we must pay the difference. Of course I said no. Then they offered another room where guess what, the AC is not working again. Bare in mind that it was 30-32 degrees celsius outside. Me with luggage packing and unpacking, with a baby on my hands was moving from one room to another one without any help. No one offered to help I had to ask myself. Eventually we had to leave the hotel and find another one. Which was so stressful and hard on last minute notice. Thanks god after me raising my voice in a lobby they arranged to refund me money. Obviously they charged for first night. At one point manager or head of reception decided to arrange the meeting room and didn't care about us standing in the lobby trying to sort out our situation. But didn't offer anything for the inconvenience and stress caused. Not even glass of water or to arrange a taxi to get from one place to another. Staff absolutely lack of empathy, organisation and problem solving especially in such a delicate situation where mother with a baby who is hot and tired and wants to sleep left with ruined holiday in the lobby trying to sort out next...

Our stay at Congress Hotel was simply outstanding. The room was immaculate, and the added bonus of a balcony during a sunny September gave us stunning panoramic views of Vilnius. For first-time visitors, I highly recommend this hotel—you’ll fall in love with both the accommodation and the city. Its central location makes exploring Vilnius effortless, as most attractions are within a 20-35 minute walk.

The amenities were of high quality, from spotless glassware to pristine restrooms. Breakfast was included, and I must say, it was delightful. As a coffee enthusiast, I especially appreciated the excellent coffee, indulging in two cups. The fresh pastries, eggs, and baked tomatoes were equally impressive. A special mention to Paulina at the bar—her warm, professional service and cheerful behaviour elevated the experience. She truly deserves recognition for her customer care.

The reception team also left a great impression, with smooth check-in and check-out processes. One receptionist was particularly thoughtful, seamlessly switching between Lithuanian for my fiancée and English for me. The deposit policy via card at check-in was very reasonable and transparent. We also enjoyed a couple of beers from the minibar at very reasonable prices, made even better by the pleasant balcony atmosphere.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience at Congress Hotel. My heartfelt thanks to the team, especially Paulina and the gentleman at reception, for making our stay...
