Green World Hotel — Hotel in Borneo

This hotel definitely needs improvements. The location and room is good. But it’s not worthy for the price and super bad of environment. You may check my video. It’s noisy when it’s 23:50pm. Music and dogs barking for a long time. The soundproof is too bad.

They don’t provide any service for you to go airport (you need to called grab or taxi yourself). There is a humid smell at the aisle, and water outside of our room.

And they selling postcard in the lobby, however you need to go post office to buy stamp yourself….

We stayed at 6th floor. Afternoon was noisy by the building works outside. At the same time room service open our door without knock or ring. (We didn’t ask any room service) it’s very weird, how could they open our door themselves.

I would say the service is worst than the town. Basically, they could only offer breakfast and bed for you.

First of all, this hotel is definitely NOT a 3 star hotel, it’s misleading. I will let the photos tell itself.

We are light sleepers, this is the worst hotel with dog barking outside, the casement window is loose so we hear all cars passing by in the main road, people walking in the hall outside. Last cherry on top was repeated knocking heard in the ceiling in the middle of the night.

So not only the room is not pleasant looking, we are not getting the necessary rest needed.

I do have to commend for the friendliness of hotel staff there from reception to cafe.

Expect minimalistic breakfast - first day served fried mee and watermelon and porridge. Second day, nasi lemak, desserts, porridge, orange juice.

Nice and clean hotel suitable for tourists as well as business travelers. Hotel is conveniently located within a 1-1.5km away from Semporna city center and right opposite McDonald’s outlet. Restaurants can be found within walking distance from hotel. Room is spacious and has windows. Room rate includes breakfast and free parking right in front of the lobby. Water pressure is really good both at the sink and the hot water shower. Room is equipped with both fan as well as air con. Perhaps what can be improved further is to provide guests with good access to cable TV channels or YouTube. Currently there is only one channel from the national TV available which makes the TV...
