JSW Inn — Hotel in George Town

Small, sparse, but clean with a comfortable bed. The shared kitchen was nice. It's not bad if you're just spending one night before flying out. It was noisy though and the shoddy and bad DIY construction of everything was distracting and ruined what could have been a charming stay.

Don't expect to get a good night's rest here. It's very noisy and you will be woken up early by the mosque at 5 am and again at 6 am (they do 2 call to prayers in Penang). After that, the 100's of parrots being bred next door wake up and all of them start chirping. You can also hear everything every other guest is doing, including checking in/out at like 4 am.

The room is small and sparse. There's no furniture except a bed, one tiny wobbly end table, and one flimsy clothing rack, which fell apart when we hung our bathroom bags on it. The bed is low but comfortable. They have a wobbly, tiny, laptop desk you can move from the hall into your room. There's only 2 plugs under the TV with no shelves or furniture nearby if you're charging devices.

To make it a better experience, please provide some sturdy shelves for putting luggage and belongings on. There was nowhere to put things except the floor. Replace the ugly, stained "carpet" in the room with some tiles.

Oh, and I really liked the Google TV with a keyboard remote. That was pretty cool actually and I could watch...

Cleanliness, comfort and professional staff are what I look for in hotels. This is exactly what I got here at JSW Inn. The place is incredibly clean and calm. The neighborhood is very quiet. The hotel is a few blocks away from the main road where you can find a supermarket, restaurants and a self-laundry service facility. The pictures that are placed on the description of the hotel are truthful and reflect the reality of the hotel. Each guest gets a magnetic card to access the hotel.

On my first day, upon arrival, the staff welcomed me and generously offered to give me complimentary breakfast, although it is not included in my booking. The staff are also proactive, in the sense they approach me with further descriptions of the services included in the offer. They also told me they are ready to give me all information I may need for moving around in the city.

With this being said, I have extended my stay at this hotel and will have it as my first option when I come to Penang in the future. One more note is that the value for money is great here. It is an unbeatable price given the...

I got a chance to stay at JSWN INN for 20 days. I would highly recommend this to everyone because of the following reasons.

1. Very reasonable price compare to others
2. Amazing location, near to 7 Eleven, many food stalls which offer great food at a very reasonable price.
3. The guest house is very clean, amazing environment you would get. It's very peaceful , no disturbance at all.
4. Close to USM, can get bus to travel to different places easily. 5 ) Lastly, brother Jo and his family is amazing. Jo brother guided me everything since it was my first time to Penang. He took me on his motorcycle to show the nearest food stalls and other important places. He is an amazing guy, very honest and down to earth.
5. JSW INN is a home away from home.
