If you have short of cash or don't really need too comfy hotel this probably a good choice.||||I tried this hotel on my recent trip as I wanted to experience it. This first thing which elicit my attention was its location and attractive pink color building surrounded by several cheap food stalls. Its not too far from beach and night bazaar.||||Rates of the rooms vary from the day of the week or the season as I went there during the week days so my understanding is that my room was about 30 to 40% cheaper than usual weekdays. Don't hesitate to haggle the rates. I paid one day room rent upfront.||||Reception was small but clean with one very friendly person who attended me and also offered himself to get my stuff from my car.||||Staircase carpet was terribly dirty and seems like owners were oblivious of their reputation which was probably the sore eye.||||Room was about the size of 10 x 10 ft with an attached bath room of reasonable size (7 x 5 ft).||Bathroom has shower with heater and a small bathtub and WC. My wife who was very critically sensitive about bathrooms cleanliness who first inspected the rooms and only then she approved.||||Two bath towels were also provided. Room had a large window with nice looking curtains on. Tv was also mounted on the wall but Astro Tv was not available due to some technical reasons.||||We have hanged our clothes on a hanger provided in a room and used a small glass table for additional stuff. Bed was ok but bed linen need to be little more cleaner. Aircon worked good without problem. Very quite place.||||Hot water for tea and coffee was available from the kettle at reception without any charge though we used our own tea bags.||||Budget travelers may use this hotel for night stay and must carry their own tea bags or coffee and mugs. ||||Do not try to eat anything in the Indian restaurant next to it. Best place to eat was in the main bazzar area in a food court which remains open till 2 am. Some time you may miss that food court due to crowded night bazaar shops but try to see Carlsburg beer bill board at the entrance...
ย ย ย Read moreFerringhi Inn & Cafe is a great family run budget hotel in the heart of Batu Ferringhi. Located just a short 2-3 minute walk (just off the main road) from the local tourist night market and 5 minute walk from the beach.||||The rooms are an average size, with an above average sized bathroom (wet room). They are kept very clean and well presented, and will be cleaned upon request at reception.||||The cafรฉ downstairs is great, always busy in the evenings, mostly with locals, which we think is a great sign, providing reasonably priced but very tasty local food. (They do offer a small selection of western dishes, if that's your thing, but be sure to at least give the Bawal Goreng a go!)||||If we had to pick holes, the bed wasn't the comfiest and the walls weren't the thickest. There is WiFi throughout, however it wasn't great in our room, we could only really access it from by the door. This wasn't really a problem for us, as we quite enjoyed relaxing downstairs in the cafรฉ where the signal was very strong. ||||For us, the best part was not the room or the location (which were both satisfactory for the price), but it was the staff. Don, the caretaker most days, is very friendly and helpful, and Shar, the boss, is a great guy, making a point to stop and talk with us every evening.||||If you're budget doesn't stretch to the nearby Golden Sands or Park Royal, then give this place a go, you'll likely be...
ย ย ย Read moreWe had a very bad experience. The staff (fat girl) entered our room without permission, and she gave us stupid excuses saying that she entered wrong room. She even used the toilet in our room and went out without locking the door ! If anything happened to us on that day especially to our baby, who will be responsible?! The toilet is so dirty it is so different from the picture she showed us at the counter.
She arrogantly asked me to lodge a police report and I suspected that this is not the first time this thing happened. And i was right ! The police officer at batu ferringhi mentioned that few months ago they received a report on her as well. She refused to give us back our money. And she is not even feel sorry for what she did !
Just imagine if i really sleep on that time, and did not even realise when she entered the room, what will happen ? If after she left and leave the door unlocked, and have drunk people enter the room, what will happened ?
She keep on accusing us for not locking our door. But i know myself n my husband know how i am so secure about this. I always check on doors even when i know its lock. And what is her rights to enter our room ! She said she entered the wrong room ! While she is the one who handed the keys to me n mentioned to me my room which is no 5.
She is so arrogant and did not even want to admit her mistakes instead she kept on put the...
