Roti Breakfast & Kopitiam — Restaurant in George Town

Went to this cafe this morning and honestly, it was a huge letdown. I ordered the everything breakfast set — it came with bacon, hash brown, mushroom, baked beans, toast, omelette, sausage, ham, and salad. Sounds like a good deal right? But the whole plate was completely cold. Not even slightly warm — it felt like it had been sitting there ready since early morning, just waiting to be thrown on a plate. It totally ruined the mood. Then the lady at the counter, the one with the cap and cracked lips— super unfriendly, like we owed her money or something was so ridiculously rude. The kind of rude that makes you wonder if you accidentally walked in without paying entry fee or something. Just full-on attitude for no reason. No smile, no basic manners, just… unpleasant. I also tried the lemon tea — absolutely horrible, couldn’t even finish it. The “cham” drink was just okay, nothing worth mentioning. And honestly, if this is how things are run every day, why doesn’t the boss step in and fix the system? Cold food and cold service shouldn't be the norm. With this kind of experience, I really don’t see myself coming back. Will not...

Always crowded on the weekends, so recommended u come in weekdays if not the waiting time on weekend probably is 1 hour....

Order kiam kopi(salty coffee) , quite special,which can taste abit of salty but strong coffee flavour..

Big breakfast, quite big portion but normal...

Chicken Curry mee - not the usual curry mee taste but not bad

Polo bun - actually taste not bad, but it will be better if they give big slice of butter..

The menu price shown is nett price...

Overal the price is reasonable and the serving time actually is quite fast.. On weekday morning, half crowded, only waited for 15mins to serve... And the food option is alot...If no queue u can give a try...but if there is crowded, pls come another day, cz u won't feel satisfied after waited long hour for normal breakfast..

2nd visit on weekday ordered Hor ka sai - I think the taste not strong... Curry Chee cheong fun - the curry taste not strong, but the Chee cheong fun taste ok Bacon breakfast - normal Half boiled egg and toast - ok

This time they also serve quickly, abt 5 mins...

Food is good here. Had the curry chicken maggi. Curry looks diluted but the taste is good and packs abit of spicy punch. Loved it. Toast was not bad, enjoyed the peanut butter and kaya mix. Eggs were slightly over cooked. Yolks were not flowy enough. Traditional western breakfast allows u to choose different methods of cooking your eggs. Sunny-side up, scrambled or omelette. Good portion and good variety, enough for a lady. Had the cham ice and hot milo. Drinks were thick and tasty. Overall enjoyed the food here. Downside of the place is it gets hotter from 9.30-10am onwards due to the rising sun and the big trees does not really help with sheltering. Can choose to sit inside the coffeeshop. 3 stars for atmosphere. Food was served within 10mins of ordering, service quite fast maybe because there were only 3 other...
