We were recommended to visit this place by a friendly lady who works at a biscuits shop. My mom is so thrilled to visit this large traditional market place, located near SMK Jelutong. The street vendors welcome you with various things to offer from fruits, veggies, beautiful fresh flowers, biscuits, peanuts, herbs, freshly baked bread and many more. They also have a wet market selling meat, chicken, etc. While we were strolling the street, we could easily find many cafes selling breakfast, kopi O or kopitiam, roti kaya, porridge, wantan mee and many more local delicacies. We found this food stall where an uncle selling tasty Ban Zhang Kuih, perhaps similar to terang bulan or martabak manis in Indonesia or crepes. Highly recommended place to visit, especially if you want to venture out and get the feel or just blend in the ambience of the local...

My favorite wet market where you can buy fresh veggies, fruits, meat and fishes with reasonable price. Also good place to have cheap and good breakfast. Walk along lorong Ipoh, you can find more than ten eateries that serve great varieties of hawker foods, some of my favorites include char koay teow, char koay kak, curry mee, wantan mee, koay teow soup, dried lam mee, java mee, koay chiap... The hawkers here are generous to add pork lard if you make a request, pork lard generally enhance your noodles especially char koay teow, wantan mee, hokkien mee and koay teow soup.
