We took the standard room for two nights at RM 82 per night as it seemed like a good deal and we wanted a hotel near to town. We must say that for the price, the services were excellent. ||||Firstly, check in was a breeze. They require RM 100 as deposit which is refundable upon checkout. Don't forget to notify the reception of your car number if you are driving. They have security guards who would watch over your car at night. The receptionists were friendly and receptive.||||The room was small but cozy. Very clean and tidy. TV was in clear and in good condition. Coffee making and water boiler is provided (two mineral bottles). For Malays, it would be difficult to conduct their prayers as space is limited - maybe can opt for bigger room. We had good sleep as there was barely any noise. We were only awakened once on the second day during afternoon when the phone rang. The receptionist wanted to know if we wanted our rooms to be cleaned. As we returned back late from midnight movie, we declined and informed them later when we left to dinner. ||||When we came back, the room was spick and span :) You can also request for hair dryer and softer pillow if required. Clean towels and basic toiletries are provided in the toilet.||||If you're driving, the place is super near to some interesting and yummy food outlets. Try them out! Moonlight Cake House was good!||||One of the best things about this hotel is their breakfast. It's at the sky lounge which is super relaxing and comfortable. We were provided nasi lemak and there were basic drink making facilities. Biscuits and some tidbits were also offered. We went at 8.30 but decided to stay on till 10 am coz it was very relaxing. Newspapers also provided for reading. Not allowed to bring back anything to the room.||||The elevators were in super condition but best of all, everything was super clean and comfortable. They even have a lost & found section where you can view the belongings left behind by previous customers.||||Parking is free but sometimes the whole stretch can be occupied. So we parked on another row and the security guard gave us a laminated sign to put on our dashboard to indicate that we are visitors from the hotel - to avoid summons. How considerate!||||Overall, we did not regret choosing this hotel. Thanks to the previous tripadvisor reviews, we made a...
Read moreThis is the worst hotel we encountered in JB:
The room that we checked in was very smelly, with the mouldy/dusty smell. My hubby was very unhappy when entering the room and we had to ask to change room. Luckily the receptionist quickly helped to change room for us and the 2nd room was much better.
However for the 2nd room, the toilet always had the smoke smell, probably coming from the exhaust pipe. It seems like previous guests smoked inside the toilet and the hotel didn’t do thorough cleaning. We are non-smokers so it was so annoying using the toilet every time.
The receptionist wasn’t knowledgeable at all. When checking-in, we asked abt the surrounding food and she only recommended the coffee shop at the back. When I asked if there’s a Chill Day Cafe nearby (as I saw it listed on Google), she said no, only coffee shop and pub. However on the last day when checking out, my hubby saw the cafe just a few houses nearby. Such a lousy receptionist, don’t even give us the right information.
Room doesn’t even have fridge, locker, and during night time, as the club is nearby, you can hear the music’s bass pumping towards the wall. If you want a silent place to sleep at night, this won’t be a good place to stay.
Surrounding location doesn’t offer much things, so have to take taxi to Aeon mall or other places to eat.
My hubby said he won’t book this hotel in the future. Poor room quality, less than average staff, average location. We paid abt S$42 per night, but I think the price should be just $20-$25 to reflect the...
Read moreI was here last here and I came back with my friends to stay at this hotel for a function in Sungai Tiram, Johor. It took us about 30 mins to get to Ulu Tiram town which is alright for us. The hotel is situated near to Johor Jaya where food haven is located and Big Aeon is just around the corner. The surrounding of the hotel are shops but it seem the activities are pretty low giving the hotel to have reasonably quiet environment. Hotel rooms are pretty spacious for the kind of hotel (its a 4 shop lots linked together). We took the family room which has 2 queen size beds and best of all 2 bathrooms attached as well. It has a rooftop garden for you to relax, not that there much to view but some quiet time for yourself. They serve breakfast at the garden rooftop. The staffs are very pleasant and helpful in many ways. For the price and the service they are offering I felt that this hotel warrant high ratings from me.||||I was told they even have a room where you can park your car next to it which I felt it is a great offer. However, the hotel will immediately register your car number and ask the security guard to give an eye on it at night. Very...
